Starting PM: Dosage suggestion?

If what you want is to gain muscle weight, eat an excess of protein and workout enough to use it.

If you DO want fat, go for healthy fats like fish oils and such to increase your subcutaneous "white fat" layer. Avoid things that are going to cause clogged arteries and deep tissue fat! BAD BAD BAD!!!! I CAN NOT believe you seriously even suggested it Monika!

Well, Abi, Larana didn't say she wanted to gain muscle. I assumed she needed fat to redistribute into a more female distribution pattern. Of course, if a person wants muscle, consume lots of whey protein, lift lots of weights, and, being in a testosterone-driven body, one will gain bulky muscle. Regarding carbs, there really is no such thing as a "good" carb. The glycemic load difference between white rice and brown rice is negligible. The same goes for white flour and whole wheat flour. Potatoes are terrible for a person, and sweet potatoes are only slightly better. If one sticks to healthier things like berries, pears and apples, it is nearly impossible to consume enough extra calories to gain weight. Furthermore, fruits with low glycemic indices tend to be high in fructose which we now know is a major contributor to insulin resistance. Bananas and watermelon might get you there. Sadly, weight gain does take a lot of bad carbs. Most veggies are so low in calories, again, it is nearly impossible to gain weight. Starchy veggies like corn, potatoes and lima beans are an exception. Honestly, triglycerides are more dangerous than cholesterol, and triglycerides form from unused carbs. Aerobic exercise can help minimize the formation of triglycerides, but then there might not be much weight gain. The whole Weight Watchers points system is apparently based on controlling the intake of carbs. I'm not sure there is a healthy way to gain body fat that doesn't include poor food choices and bad lifestyle habits.
