The paranoia of people trying to rip others off can certainly be more easily disproven than claims of the spiritual realm stealing one's breast growth, of course.
Does it make one belief any more sane than the other? Seems to be entirely too subjective for me to pass judgement on lol.
For whatever it's worth, the proponents seem to believe just as strongly as if it was a religion, in both cases...so either way. The validity of each belief lies in the eye of the beholder, imo.
But you were right originally, we shouldn't laugh at the beliefs another holds dear, whether we judge them to be a legitimate religion or simply illogical. One person's paranoid ramblings is another's religion, basically
