Kari, i'm glad to hear that your DW is not against the idea in principle. That's half the solution right there. But, yes, the cost of the conference, the lodging, the travel, etc. is taunting, as well as, the expenditure of precious vacation time or lost income if you are self-employed. To be honest, this cross gender 'hobby' of mine is getting more expensive every day. Sigh. I'm starting to realize how much more efficient it would be just staying 100% male...LOL!

No, I don't think this is a last-chance opportunity, and I would gladly travel to MPLS, my old tramping ground, to take in a similar event should one be organized.

So sorry things couldn't be different, Kari. You are such a sweet person, and to not have the chance to meet you face-to-face is a real disappointment.

Yes, for me, too. I'm 750 miles from Atlanta, but SCC is arguably the best of all TG/CD events. Unfortunately, there are no regularly scheduled TG conferences held in the MPLS area. There is Pink Fest in Chicago coming up in October. It's not a convention, though. It's modeled after Diva Las Vegas without the casinos (sigh). Very informal, but could be a convenient time for us midwest girls to meet and have some fun together.

Our numbers for SCC have doubled, girls and we now have a contingent of six of us planning to attend. We have members journeying to Atlanta from all over with the most distant joining us from Europe. It is not too late for you to join us too! C'mon, girls....do you really want to be sitting at home seeing pictures and reading reports of all the fun we six are going to be having when you could be there with us having all that fun yourself? Frankly, with the crew we have attending so far, I expect massive mayhem and a monumental riot. I am advising everyone to bring bail money...lol.
If you cannot attend, rest assured we will be proving a regular stream of naughty pics and steamy accounts just to torture you for failing to join us...tee hee.

I'll ask my hubs about it but he will probably say no because of financial reasons. :/ if I am in a salon by then he might let me. It would be cool if I could meet up with Sarah and we could ride together. Can't hurt to ask!
