Wonder what evidence, if any, there is to support the claims that unlicensed herbal products with possibility of unknown ingredients and fillers are the safer way?

Regardless if one is safer than the other, it's a shame that we need to worry about the quality of natural occurring plants being tainted by man made endeavors.
