The only thing I find quickly about black cohosh is that its phytoestrogenic, I've read it been mentioned here and there but I don't think its useful at all, there's much better stuff around. I remember that warning about liver health too.
Why not get the other ones as well, then take one of the ones you have now and one or two of the other? That way you use what you got and don't go insanely high with the cohosh either?
If you're not on conventional HRT, I would keep going with the EC if I were you, it wont do harm but it can help so why not?

Thank you so much for your reply,
Heaven's Night. I decided to do exactly what you suggest: I bought the other product with 400 mg of Mammary only, which will arrive in a week. I plan to alternate between the Mammary capsules I already have and the new ones. I'm thinking of taking two Swanson Ovarian Glandulars and one of the Mammary capsules per day. How does that sound? During the course of taking these things, I haven't noticed any ill effects. I'm very excited about the possibilities--we'll see how things go.

Its interesting, I know glandulars work amazingly to some poeple and the mammary one for me is nearly impossible to source, I would love to try it and have only heard whispers of someone trying it or thingking about it. So cool to see someone updating about this. I don't think the black cohosh is really a total liver poison, otherwise it wouldn't be sold just like that, but better keep its dose under control. Splitting what you have like that is a good idea on how to deal with it.
I did a similar thing when I was taking the Natural Sources Raw Female capsules before switching to Swanson, those had a boatload of zinc, so the way I took them in the end was split the dose between those and Swanson BO, the contents were the same 250mg per capsule, but Natural Sources one just had other stuffs and way too much zinc.
Keep updating about your progress, this is a fun experiment.
