I passed on Dr. Z mainly because he isn't craniofacial certified. If you need lots of forehead reshaping, like I do, you want that qualification in your surgeon.
I prefer a more conservative surgeon, personally. I don't want to change my looks so much as to soften my appearance by removing the male puberty influences on brow boss, nose, upper lip, and adam's apple. I can live with my jaw and cheeks the way they are.
Voice surgery is really risky and normally only recommended after voice training has not achieved your goals. At least look into the surgical technique your doc is going to use on you. I would be concerned about a visible scar on your neck and the long post-surgery restrictions that you have to adhere to religiously for optimal results.

He recommended brow bone work... Ive heard he's not very aggressive there though and I am not scared at all of a radical change... Also of course a brow lift... A FULL face lift and I definitely agree with that!!! My wrinkles are getting REALLY bad... It seems like the more hairs I kill with laser and electro the WORSE my wrinkles and lines getIts gotten so bad lately I cant even wear makeup anymore, it just makes me look worse
Its strange to me just how fast these terrible wrinkles seemed to come out of nowhere AFTER I quit smoking![]()
Anyway he also recommended chin reduction which I also agree with, lip lift and nose job with lip augmentation... At first I was kinda against all of that but now I can see that too... Also fat/tissue injections in the deep creases around the nose/mouth...
Problem is I really didnt like him much at all even though Im sure he's very good... He's got a reputation as being one of the best at noses....
I never really had a problem with my nose but I guess i can see how subtle changes would help feminize...
I really want a scalp reduction/advancement or whatever he can do to reduce the bald area on my front nonexistent "hairline"... If I live through all this I plan to start hair restoration soon afterwards...
I cant find much of anything bad about Dr Z and I actually love his whole Chicago guy persona... Only complaint Ive heard about him is the price and Im NOT too worried about that.. I just want it done right and done once...
So I want all of that at least and actually the sooner the betterIm also not gonna fuck around and I just want an in person consultation after all the BS I went through to do the one with Dr Mayer...
Ive decided to do it next year though just because of tax implications... So I will do the voice feminization first....
Im unfortunately NOT really sure just EXACTLY what this voice surgery involves... I cant find much good or bad about this doc... He does seem very competent and there are few options here in the USA...
Im just gonna go for it, yes its scary as hell... This stuff is NOT for sissys

The decision to reshape your forehead using an endoscopic approach vs. exposing the bone depends on what you are trying to accomplish, Eva. If your aim is to reduce a prominent brow ridge that lies over the anterior wall of the frontal sinus cavity, be VERY concerned about using endoscopic burring. That bone is not very thick, so only minor sculpting is possible without the risk of breaking through or making the bone so thin that a minor impact in that area could break the bone and leave a permanent depression in your forehead.
I'm not sure why you are considering 'scalp advancement'. I was under the impression that you suffer significant MPB.
