Increase pm dose to maintain brain rewiring?

First recommendation is never to take any after 8pm or so, to enable your kidneys to get rid of any by-products. I've woken up with lower back pain often enough to prove to myself that PM is the cause.

Other than that, it's not clear. I was on 3g/day by day 3, but I'm not recommending it. That's when I got my back pain, but I took the last ones before bed. I went back to 2/day and worked my way up to 6 (3g) per day over the next 2 months. Given that I no longer get back pain even when I take 6g, 3 days in a row, I feel reasonably confident that you could experiment with increasing by 500mg per week until you get a growth spurt (prickles, itches, that kind of thing).

Whoops - I just caught that your main interest is "brain rewiring". I assume you mean getting the calmness, loss of anxiety etc. I was 59 when I started, and I think my T levels were a lot lower than when young (no, haven't been tested). It took 3g/day before I started to experience euphoria (as a springback from dysphoria!) which eventually settled down to a feeling of mental functionality, how I think a "normal" human being should feel.

I don't know how much you will need. I suppose it's going to be a complicated combination of how much androgen your brain got during gestation, how high your T-levels are, but here in the UK we have a saying: "suck it and see", which now that I come to think about it could very well be misinterpreted by people in the US. Oh well.

Irrelevancy: An amusing example of misinterpretation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suck_It_and_See#Censorship

Maybe rewiring is the wrong word. What I'm specifically looking for is to lose interest in some destructive male behaviors (pornography, for example). I don't necessarily want to lose my libido completely (my wife wouldn't like that).

Am I making sense?

Totally unrelated but Misty I still have pornography interests even though I am female Wink More than I should and PM hasn't lessened it - but I do not use a high dose, so perhaps it will kill my libido as other have mentioned previously.

Absolutely, and I include that with the loss of anxiety, paranoia, neurosis and general crabiness! Smile

Interestingly, re: libido, I've found that a low-ish dose makes it decrease, but a higher one brings it back again, but with the trigger being the breasts rather than the genitalia!

Good heavens! You have shattered my illusions about females! Smile

Curious - visual or text?

Possibly you have a slightly higher natural testosterone level? If that is what is causing it, PM may diminish it.

I suggest spending a week at each dosage and increase by 500 mg after each week until you find a dosage that works for you. Not everyone experiences brain rewiring, so be aware you may not achieve this no matter what dosage you're taking.

Yes, you're making sense I think. I think if you take a high enough dose of pm for a sufficient period of time, your interest in porn should wane. This is a pretty common experience amongst members I think. Here's a thread I recommend you read to learn more about pm's effect on the male sex drive.

There a plenty of women who watch porn. Its not an inherently "masculine" thing. Porn is typically made for and by men, therefore its going to appeal to a male audience. But If the porn company started catering to women, i'm sure even more would watch it. And a lot of women don't talk about watching it because its a social taboo for women. We're still suppose to be dainty and polite about our sexuality. If we're not then we're "sluts". Where as men can be hyper sexual and thats "normal"

I also know plenty of girls with really high sex drives, higher than the guys. And i've had boyfriends who had low sex drives. Its all about individual people. The other stuff is just gender stereotypes.

I'm a biological women but Hell, I love video games, sex, porn, sports, food, etc. Big Grin
In that sense I have a "guy brain" but I very much enjoy looking like a women on the outside. Tongue

Oh, I should also note that, for me, the PM hasn't changed me as far as my interest/personality goes (i still watch porn, aggressive personality, etc) but it has physically! My skin is softer and I look more feminine but I also think that might have to do with the fact that I gained some weight and now i'm starting to look curvy. I love PM! I think it helps steer the fat into the right places!
