"The general function of norepinephrine is to mobilize the brain and body for action. Norepinephrine release is lowest during sleep, rises during wakefulness, and reaches much higher levels during situations of stress or danger, in the so-called fight-or-flight response. In the brain, norepinephrine increases arousal and alertness, promotes vigilance, enhances formation and retrieval of memory, and focuses attention; it also increases restlessness and anxiety. In the rest of the body, norepinephrine increases heart rate and blood pressure, triggers the release of glucose from energy stores, increases blood flow to skeletal muscle, reduces blood flow to the gastrointestinal system, and promotes voiding of the bladder and large intestine"

"Adderall, or amphetamine, works by increasing the release of norepinephrine from cells that produce it. Dopamine is required to form norepinephrine as it is a precursor in its synthesis. As Adderall increases the release of norepinephrine, more dopamine must be converted into NE to replace the supply. This causes a decrease in dopamine. Dopamine normally inhibits prolactin and prolactin normally inhibits gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH). When dopamine decreases, this causes a DISinhibition of prolactin. The increase in prolactin dramatically inhibits GnRH levels. GnRH normally produces LH and FSH, which increase testosterone and spermatogenesis respectively.
"In summary...
increased NE release-->depletes DA levels-->DISinhibiting prolactin-->inhibiting GnRH--> decreasing LH and FSH--> and decreasing testosterone levels " -http://www.steadyhealth.com/topics/does-adderall-shrink-your-penis-how-long-afterwards-does-a?page=1
update : could not edit original post on norepinephrine. so I had to repost it.
Apparently Adderall upregulates norepinephrine, and will lead to gonadal atropy ( yippie for those of us who want it ) . *if * you decide to use this, I would suggest it be applied topically, since it is considered a vasoconstrictor (makes veins smaller), don't know how it would affect overall body if taken internally. wait, yes I do ,...see original post above .. use at own risk...
