Hey girl, just saw your recent pics. Bloody amazing, girl! I am so happy for you! You have come so far so fast. God, I wish I had the option to dress every day. Sigh...
You look beautiful, Eva!

Thanks for the compliment Sammie Smile

On "dressing every day" all I have a are female clothes these days, NONE of my old mens clothing even comes close to fitting me anymore Wink
Id actually have to go buy mens clothing if I wanted to try to be male.... NOT likely anytime soonTongue

While it has become much easier to get it all together day to to day it's actually becoming more like work than getting "dressed up".... The thrill with that is mostly gone, but it is nice when a new dress fits just right or an outfit, jewelry or a new make up experiment just plain worksCool

Im just working on becoming one of the other 3+ billion women out thereWink

Always nice to hear a compliment though and its good to see you backBig Grin

Nice to be back. Smile
But fair warning, the way you are heading your day is coming when you will leave us, Eva. Thats just the way it goes. You are indeed becoming a woman through and through, and the day will come when you have nothing left in common with those here because you will be just one of all the other women on Earth. I hope for our sake that day does not come too soon, but for your sake I hope it arrives before you know it. Best wishes, baby.Wink

Thanks girlsSmile Sammie I hear you but I still have a LONG way to go...

Tomorrow is my doctors appointment... Its definitely going to be interesting when I tell her what Ive been taking, hope its not gonna be a SHTF moment.... I cant wait to see the lab results, hopefully its all good... I feel great so I cant see there being any problems... Hope its good and she will prescribe what Im on... We can argue about all of that but one thing she wont be able to argue with is the RESULTS =)

I had to move it up because I need her to write a letter for me that says Im being medically treated for gender transition permanently... Id like to have that available to give the judge at my hearing on August 1st and ask for the court order to include gender change... I will aslo need that for SS, my passport and my DL change.... Should SHTF with her and she refuses to write that letter/prescribe HRT Im gonna have to HURRY down to Denver and try to find a doc who will... SO Im a bit anxious about all of this but I will finally get an idea of how things will go with my doc tomorrow.... WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Well that went better than I thought it would so farBig Grin

So I get there wearing a pair of nice denim shorts and a tank top, (been warm here lately and Im told I have great legs Tongue )...

The nurse comes out into the waiting room and calls for me by my old male name Rolleyes Blush

She looked pretty surprised when I got up Wink

So we get in the exam room and she asks about medications Im on....

Well that was fun Smile I take out a tube of oestrogel, estrofem 2mg, progynova EV 2mg, generic teva E2 2mg, spiro 100 mg, dutasteride gell caps and 100 mg progesterone gell capsSmileRolleyesBig Grin

Took a while to to explain all the dosages and when and why Im taking all of this Wink

Weighed in at 155, and measured in at 5' 7", I asked her to check again because Ive always been 5' 8" but apparently Ive become 20 lbs lighter and an inch shorter somehowCool

Blood pressure is usually right at a perfect 120 over 80 but it was 112 over 80 this time... Must be the spiro lowering it a little, the nurse was not concerned though...

So then the doc comes in and first we talk about the letter I want her to write for the court, SS, passport, and drivers license... Id printed out a sheet detailing everything it needs to say and she says she has no problem doing that for me Big Grin HUGE relief there Smile Cool

Then we start talking HRT.... First its about the spiro and I tell her it seems to be working well at 200mg daily with no bad side effects... She agrees I should keep taking that at 200mg Cool

Then the Dutas, again she has no problem with that and agrees I should continue taking itCool

Then on to the progesterone... I tell her Ive been cycling it 1 week out of the month because I dont like the effects if I take it longer than that... She says well most women feel like crap on progesterone and you really dont need it at all... So Im thinking to myself OK well WTF did you start me out on Medroxyprogesterone acetate then Huh Didnt say anything though...

On to the E... She was very interested in the gel and we had a nice conversation about avoiding the first pass through the liver and E1 E2 and E3 ratiosCool

I mentioned I had some patches on the way and I was gonna try patches and gel... She says she likes that but she's concerned I wont get a high enough E level that way... So again Im thinking to myself now she's concerned about low E levels, WTF was I only prescribed 2mg then HuhHuh Again I didnt say anything though...

So then I say Id like to go with weekly injections.... She says they dont do that out of her office and she would be concerned about the liability involved thereRolleyesSad

So then she asks me if Im full time female and I say yes of course, she says Im looking good and asks how I feel on all this.... Never felt better I truthfully answer Big Grin

She says she thinks I probably dont need all that E Im on Sad But then she says as long as its working well and you feel good its probably OK though WinkWinkBig GrinCool I agree with that Wink

So she says she will do all the appropriate tests for the spiro and see where all my levels come out and she will likely keep me on the spiro and dutas and try to come up with a gel/patch E regime... I mention we could do that along with a little oral E if necessaryWink

SO now Im just waiting on the lab results and hopefully T is cratered and E isnt TOO high for her Wink It will be very interesting to see what she comes up with...

I gotta say I was VERY pleasantly surprised, she was a total BITCH on my first visit.... It was like seeing a totally different doc this time Big GrinCool

I did see her the first time as an andro looking male though... She was dealing with a woman (and a not half bad looking one) this time Big Grin

That and the name/gender change letter request really helped no doubt, also I think she appreciated me being honest with her about what Im on...

So now I wait for the lab results and hopefully a correctly written letter...

I figure try whatever she prescribes for another three months then go back and complain about the undoubtedly high cost of this regime and ask for a referral to a local endo I have in mind that treats TG patients... Id again be hoping for weekly injections, maybe from her or if necessary the endo Wink

Very interesting, Eva. Thanks for the detailed account. It is strange how different docs have different ideas on how to do HRT. Of course, everything that is prescribed is off-label, so it all falls on the docs best judgement and experience.

Congratulations on a successful visit. When I attend my first visit to Howard Brown, I will go en femme right from the start. Your experience seems to indicate that is the best thing to do.
