Samantha's Program

Last time I shaped my brows was in 2003. Wow over 10 years ago. Since then I cracked one of my brows open in an accident a few years ago and I'm not really sure how to pull it off now with the small scar.

But the first time was way back in 1995. Crap almost 20 years ago. I definitely went a little overboard and made them a "little on the thin" side. They looked similar to my avatar. Using tweezers I had to do a little work on them every few days or you could see them growing in. Especially without a little eye make-up. However, I was wearing mascara too. It's a good thing Goth was in (think Marlyn Manson) at the time. My girlfriend liked how the mascara brought out my lashes. But then I found out she was cheating on me with another chick... Whole other story...

Point is it's better to have someone else do it to keep them even and then you'll just need to do a little maintanence as the hairs come back in. Never tried threading.

That is so awesome.

She definitely has her moments.

But yeah, I agree with you about the brows. Really easy to make yourself look really weird. I plan on having mine done by a professional at some point. I'm sure if I tried they'd look terrible with either threading, plucking, or waxing. All would likely be disasters at first.

I bought a new wig and two pairs of shoes today. Do you girls have any idea how tough it is to find decent pumps that don't look like instruments of torture in a women's size 14. Sigh...oh to be able to walk into DSW and just pick what I like...Rolleyes

From what I can tell, the main advantage seems to be in generating really straight lines and the amount of control.

Never done it myself, but I believe one of the other advantages (or maybe the actual reason for the straight line effect you mentioned ), is that it gets the very small fine hairs that you can barely see, let alone grab with tweezers, but they are what creates a fuzzy look overall.

How exciting, Sammie. I take a size 11 which doesn't sound too hard to find except I need them in extra wide (WWW) width which really cuts down on the available selection. Sad
