We do have them listed in the FAQ,

Reishi-reishi mushrooms significantly reduced levels of 5-alpha reductase, preventing conversion of testosterone into the more potent DHT. High levels of DHT are a risk factor for conditions such as benign prostatatic hypertrophy (BPH), acne, and baldness.
I went with Reishi at the time when I ordered my other items, which at the time Swansons didn't have. For the price I'd say its worth it, I still take them occasionally.

Thanks Lotus I was gonna ask you about them because after doing a search here I couldnt find much on them except that you are taking them....
I did search the web and they seem to be a very potent AA...
Ive finally been able to get Swansons 450 MG licorice caps to agree with me but I only take one 3 days a week so far... But I gotta say when I took that licorice cap today it went right to my nipples and I was itching and swelling within 1/2 hr
I do not like Saw Palmeto at all and the Reishi caps are very interesting to me from what Ive read online... I used to have bad BPH but not really a problem now, most of what I read about RM says its good for BPH....
I think Im gonna try them, I was hoping someone here besides you had tried them, they seem OK to me
You confuse me though a lot of the time LOL
Thanks

Hah I confuse myself,
I think It's a matter of personal preference on aa's tbh, I can only guess that it's more of what your goal might be than a specific type, what's yours on aa's if I may ask?

Quote:Red reishi, commonly known as LingZhi in Chinese, is a mushroom thought to have many health benefits. In a research study exploring the anti-androgenic effects of 20 species of mushrooms, reishi mushrooms had the strongest action in inhibiting testosterone (3). That study found that reishi mushrooms significantly reduced levels of 5-alpha reductase, preventing conversion of testosterone into the more potent DHT. High levels of DHT are a risk factor for conditions such as benign prostatatic hypertrophy (BPH), acne, and baldness.

'So being, the vast majority of actual medical research into Ganoderma lucidum is identifying both its anti-cancer effects and the method of action for those effects. So to understand the anti-androgenic effects of Reishi, we have to first put on our “cancer hats.”
Reishi does not cause or signal the body to decrease production of testosterone or other androgen hormones. Using Reishi does not cause a lowering of testosterone—free or bound testosterone. If anything, for people with low testosterone, Reishi has a greater propensity to increase levels of testosterone through its adaptogenic qualities than it does for lowering levels of testosterone. So how is Reishi anti-androgenic?
There are a class of drugs (really a type of chemical) called 5alpha-reductase. 5alpha-reductase binds to androgen receptors in the prostate and inhibits androgen-induced cell growth and regrowth. Because 5alpha-reductase (a chemical found in extracts of Reishi and in other places) binds to androgen receptors it is called anti-androgenic. As we know, androgen-induced cell growth and regrowth is the root of benign prostatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. The anti-androgenic effects of Reishi, as limited and specific as they are, actually promote prostate health, indicating an ability to ease BPH and possibly prevent or treat prostate cancer....'
