Starting again

#1

I quitted PM cold turkey after 2 months a few months ago as I had problems in my relationship (I broke with my GF) but now I am in need to restart PM especially for the mental benefits helping me with my dysphoria. What I experienced physically is fat redistribution, less body hair growth and libido with some nipples enlargement that I absolutely love.
I will soon restart with 1000mg PM daily upping to 2000mg.
I do a lot of sport (cycling and running - mostly cardio), do you think I will lose muscles and stamina? In the first 2 months I didn't experience a big loss, I've just lost some weight that helped me in doing such activities and I have been a little bit more tired in the evening so that I had to sleep early.

Hi Erika,
Some members have experiencef an occasional shortness of breath, though it is not certain if this is from PM or other factors. I would think if you are already fit (congrats on the weight loss, honey!) then the worst might be a slight need to just work a little harder. But, really, I would not worry about it unless a problem arises. Why worry before there is a need?Wink

Welcome back, Erika. Sorry to hear about your break up. Was it because of your gender issues?

Regarding your question: Lowering your testosterone level will likely cause a loss of muscle mass in time. It depends on how far you push it, and how hard you work to maintain strength. After 6 months on PM, my total serum testosterone dropped to 109 ng/dL, well below the male reference level. I've experienced a noticeable loss of upper body strength in that time. I do cardio exercise regularly, and my hobbies do demand significant arm and shoulder strength so I am countering muscle loss there to some degree. Still, muscle loss is one of the tradeoffs we have to make when we shift our hormonal balance toward estrogen. For me, personally, I'm not bothered by it.

Yes, my dysphoria was one of the issues that lead me to break up...
I felt so good when I was on PM that I want to start on it again soon! Tongue

Do you think it's good to use a Progesterone cream too? Or just take PM?
I was wondering if it could help breast growth...

Good for you, honey! Good luck with it.
As far as PC, I liked using it myself, but not until I already had good growth. CV has always said it helped promote fullness.

I will use PC when I will have some growth...
Now it's almost a week on 1000mg PM and I feel really good, hope to see some growth soon!

It's now the second week on 2000mg PM and morning erections are weaker, when I try to masturbate it takes longer and is not firm as usual. I don't feel the need to finish and I often give up, I managed to reach orgasm only one time and it seems to be different, more emotional and not centered there only. I see some slight nipple enlargement also and a little bit of fat under.
I am really happy because I feel more calm and emotional and I love it!

Don't be surprised if you lose your libido entirely... but do not despair. Once the breasts are there, you can take steps to regain the libido if you desire, but the breasts should remain. My endo assures me that nothing, short of surgery, is irreversible. However, in the process it is possible to lose fertility and that may not be reversible.
