I should have found this site sooner !!

"Saw palmetto-Saw palmetto-Beta-sitosterol is a natural alpha-adrenergic receptor blocker. Prevents DHT from accumulating in prostate tissue that would otherwise cause excessive cell growth and inflammation. The plant steroids in saw palmetto also act on progesterone receptors, an action that causes a reduction in estrogen levels. "

I`ve been taking Saw palmetto as part of my daily intake. ( @ 360mg )Mainly to prevent DHT being formed from free T, and this is the first time I have seen it also effects the progesterone receptors. Not what I really wanted to read.

Last week I ordered some PM now, after reading through this site I realize I have not ordered nearly enough dosage strength, ( 100mg tabs, instead of 800mg ones )

I`ll be keeping on my current intake, and adding the PM to the mix.
@ 6000mg Fenugreek daily
@ 8000mg Fennel daily
@ 8000mg Flax seed
360mg Saw Palmetto ( tabs )
240mg Ginkgo Biloba ( tabs )

The top 3 items are approximate values ( from my scale ), I purchase them in bulk form.

I`m hoping even if I take 200mg of the PM ( for now ) its going to make a difference. Presently, I have experienced some tissue build up ( 2" from my tape measure ) I find my nipples are more sensitive than they have ever been, and surprisingly, my sex drive is up through the roof.

My next task is to drop my intake of Saw Palmetto, and locate a replacement.

Hi there Janet,

Your decision to eliminate SP is removing a necessary road block. I like your choice in FG, I'd suggest to build yourself to 7000mg, I've posted some info that I found about females using that amount and producing milk in 72 hours. I've yet to experience it but I notice that it does have an impact.

On the Flax-seed it's mixed success, some will say it stops there progress dead in its tracks, I've tried it and have had no success with it either. So to me it's just another road block like SP.

You're doing the right thing in educating yourself, you'll find that herbs have different functions and finding the right combination of their actions is what will determine your success.

Don't believe for a minute in simplifying ones program, you'll never get out of an A-cup if you do.

Good luck, welcome aboard and feel free to ask questions! Wink

Hi Janet, you have received the best advice from this sites GURU Big Grin believe me what Lotus doesn't know probably is not worth taking on board anyway.

I have dropped SP from my program as I found it created negative effects in my growth and seemed to slow the PM effects. Huh

Very best wishes in your journey.

Take care

Hugs Heather

Janet, I would recommend giving spearmint a try as an alternative anti-androgen . I think spearmint tastes better, and I find it to be very effective with minimizing my libido.

Hi Janet,

At the risk of alienating myself to you Janet, (which I sincerely apologize) but a risk that I'm willing to take, which I'm not trying to do but rather point you in the right direction.

Here's more info about flaxseed that I posted, just thought you should see what I'm talking about.

Real sorry Janet, but I'd stop the GB, I know it's all confusing, I get it!. Ginkgo Biloba, has weak estrogenic activity and then it blocks it's pathway essentially, sort of cutting it off for E2 synthesis. Hopefully we can get you heading in the right direction and on to growing boobies.

If you're open to suggestions I have a few ideas for ya!, but if I've discouraged you in any way I apologize.

No Hun, no offense taken at all, any help in pointing me in the right direction is more than welcome. ( I have thick skin, and an off button on the monitor !)

I`ll be honest, I had not even come across anything that said Ginkgo Biloba, has weak estrogenic activity, I`ll cut down my intake for sure now.

Honestly the main reason for taking GB was to promote blood flow to help with MPB, the side effect I also found was it keeps Mr Happy awake. I found if my mind wandered a little during the action, Mr Happy would go to sleep. Once I started on GB, its like he was over 10 years ago. I don't know if its a coloration, but my libido also went through the roof.

I feel like this is a trick question ? http://www.breastnexus.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

Yes, I kinda like the intimacy, but I also understand that some dysfunction and NBE kinda go hand in hand.

So, being greedy, minimizing one effect, whilst maximizing the other is the thought.

Its going to be interesting to see what effect the PM has once it arrives later in the week, that, the Dandelion Root and the Licorice !

I`m always open to any suggestions, and advice.
Heck, even constructive criticism.

No trick question here, lol.

If I had to guess I'd say that explains about 65% of the Bio-males here. There are options, libido is one that will take a big hit, loss of function is definitely a casualty (it's mixed emotions for some). I take amino acid supplement that has L-Arginne which works like the GB. Look into the L-Arginine, it does carry some risks so make sure you read all the interactions. Let's face though, just about everything we take these days has risk involved, Peggy did an awesome job on her herb and interaction thread, and ELLA has another thread with awesome info and safety concerns, so check them out when you get a chance.

Dandelion is a choice, I like that it up-regulates E and helps Metabloism and detoxifies. Licorice is a good choice but be careful, you have to go easy. New research has been done with the constituents of LR and Central Nervous System diseases, although more research is needed, it was expressed as positive results.

Role of P-glycoprotein in limiting the brain penetration of glabridin, an active isoflavan from the root of Glycyrrhiza glabra
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17551811

So you have:

Pueraria Mirifica-The most potent phytoestrogen, targets E receptors, minor anti-androgen (daidzien).

Licorice-Anti-androgenic, activates alpha and beta estrogen receptors and blocks 5-ar, DGL is thought to have fewer side effects.

Dandelion root-Upregulates estrogen receptors, (uses the estrogen you are putting in).

What did I miss?

Your knowledge in this area astounds me, i`m glad your around to help us on the right path ...

I guess should add, Ive been drinking green tea like crazy too, and just yesterday I picked up some Australian tree sap extract ( heck, does this stuff stink ) I guessing my chest is going to be achene free !!

One question I do have though, do you happen to know what the life expectancy of the hormones in our system ?

Two reasons,

The first would be possible to take say PM in the morning and FG in the late afternoon, without them both fighting for the same E receptors ?

The second, If I had to give a blood or urine sample I would like to have a lower E count before hand. ( This of course would depend on why I was actually there )
