And so it begins....tomorrow is Friday and at least one member of our group (Arielle) is beginning their her trip to Atlanta then. Over the next few days those who are driving will set out...Clara, Elisa, my non BN friend Staci. And then it will be Tuesday and from all over, the rest of us will be boarding planes. Like a pilgrimage...lol. A TG Mecca.. haha This is just plain awesome.



So, in tribute, and with apologies to Bill...lol...see how many will get a kick out of this....


SCC Day
This day is call’d the feast of SCC
She that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam’d,
And rouse her at the name of SCC.
She that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast her neighbours,
And say “To-morrow is Southern Comfort day”
Then will she show her pics and tell her tales,
And say “These clothes I bought at SCC.”
Old girls forget; yet all shall be forgot,
But she’ll remember, with advantages,
What feats she did that week. Then shall our names,
Familiar in her mouth as household words-
Sammiegurl, Sarah and Arielle,
Clara and Annie, Elisa and Robin
Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb’red.
This story shall the good girl teach her daughter;
And SCC shall ne’er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of sisters;
For she to-day that dons her dress with me
Shall be my sister; be she ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle her condition;
And gentlegirls in England (or Detroit or or Chicago, or Minneapolis or anywhere) now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their garters cheap whiles any speaks
That dressed with us upon SCC day.
