Influx of Spambots

Not a question but a suggestion: These spambots are getting really annoying...Dodgy

I think the registration form for the forum should have one of those Captcha or some other bot repellent questions.

New members are already required to receive a verification email, which requires them to click on a link to activate their membership, so that alone should cut out most of the problems. I know that some spam still gets through, but thanks to those who use the report button to highlight the offending posts they can usually be removed quite quickly. I'll certainly consider whether it would be useful to take any other measures in order to further contain the problem, as these soam posts which are often nonsense posts are truly annoying.
