All those 80s groups? Just go right to the source and listen to early Roxy Music.
Have to disagree about dance music, though. Never liked it before, but since discovering how much I like to dance, I have learned to love a lot of that stuff. Still like my rock (from all decades), but now enjoy club stuff too. Particularly fond of Krewella lately. But club artists are really hit or miss. Often one or two amazing cuts surrounded by a ton of filler.
But, in no particular order...
Velvet Underground
Black Keys
Miles Davis
Stones (Mick Taylor era, particularly Exile on Main Street)
Richard Thompson
Calexico
ZZTop (Tres Hombres, Eliminator)
Tangerine Dream
Motley Cru
Velvet Revolver
13th Floor Elevators
Spirit
Keith Jarrett
Don Henley
White Stripes
ACDC
Marianne Faithful
Nikki Corvette
The Vibrators
The Stranglers
Robert Fripp
JJCale
Sandy Denny
The New York Dolls
Iggy

Enough? Lol

Lol, I remember 98% of those, The Lloyd Thaxton Show escapes me though, was that a regional show?. Laugh-in, The Man from U.N.C.L.E, The Thunderbirds, Green Hornet, too many for sure, all the classics though.

For a good laugh,

Whose line is anyway:

I love EDM, my current can't get enough (music, lol) is:

Sub Focus, "Rock It"

Reminds me of Daft Punk, but for rock, my top favorites songs are:

Collective Soul: Heavy
