Anti-Androgens

On FAQs, it only describes "Maca" but makes no specification.

I think I have a cocktail regime put together, but won't get into it here as to avoid going too far off topic.

Good question,

This link provide some info:

Do you have a program thread to make comments on?

I don't have a thread yet, cant start one after work.

Read through that link, maca in general is an adaptogen and provides hormone balancing properties, but looks like yellow/brown is best suited? Or am I reading into that wrong?

I gather the herbalist was showing their prowess lol. Ask them which is the rarest, the answer is the red (and holds the highest antioxidants). Yellow is most common, but the question is where it's from, quality of how it's processed, and what your goal is on using it, (protein source?, libido, etc).

LOTUS is correct. Red Maca is the best one. I've been taking it since last year. POM

Thank you for helping clarify. Any particular brand/dosage that's recommended?

I just started an NBE Diary/Program Thread ----> (.)(.)

Starting to get excited. Thank you again for all the help and advice.

L.A,
That's a great program, I am impressed on the choice of HCG for following reasons:

HCG treatment increased the testicular secretion of DHEA and T fivefold, Δ4A threefold, E1 sixfold, and E2 eightfold in normal men. In the single subject with an atrophic testis who received HCG, the spermatic venous concentrations of androgens and estrogens were much less than in normal men similarly treated. We conclude that: (a) E1 is secreted by the human testis, but testicular secretion of E1 accounts for less than 5% of E1 production in normal men; (b) HCG stimulation produces increases in spermatic venous estrogens equal to or greater than the changes in androgens, including testosterone; and © strikingly decreased secretion of androgen and estrogen by unilateral atrophic human tests cannot be appreciated by analyses of peripheral steroid concentrations.

Although I would verify the product, the FDA has put out a warning on it.

I know I know, it's complicated, free your mind to new thinking of how to grow breasts, then you start asking the right questions. Big GrinTongue

Trust me, I was a dumber than a doorknob pre-NBE dude lol. Rolleyes still am!

Start asking questions like this:

What are the tissue-specific promoters of CYP19 expression?

Or

What regulates the hormonal factors of second messenger signaling pathways.

Pom; Thank you for the link. I was also checking red maca from "The Maca Team". Was looking at capsule option but 6000mg seems off somehow? Might go powder after all, in that respect both Nuts and Maca Team are similar. In that case, 9g to 14g once daily is proper dosage?

The Maca Team Powder

Lotus; Thank you for your feedback! I looked into the FDA's concerns about HCG, seems their concerns are with the entire diet program as a whole. 500 calories a day doesn't seem healthy in the best of cases. I say that, but looking back the last few months, I haven't been eating more than 500-1000 calories a day (not on purpose mind you). When I start taking HCG drops again, I'll make sure I eat a little more than usual. If there's any issues or unwellness, I'll drop it from my regime.
