Side effect?

#1

Hi, sorry for mentioning on here but wanted to double check things.

I've just increased PM, Dandelion Root, and White Peony extract to three times a day starting Wednesday.

Just wondering if any or the combination of these herbs would cause bloating or darker urine (dark orange/brown). I've been drinking more water than usual since I started the WP on Tuesday. (Steady two 500mL bottles a day instead of the usual maybe 1).

Diet hasn't changed, last night had a single coke and whiskey. There is some soreness, however, I can't tell if it's attributed to the brutal ab/cardio I did earlier in the week or if it's related to something else.

Will see if things persist today and will probably see a doc, but wanted to see if it's linked to anything I'm doing with herbs first.

Thank you for your time.

The only time my urine is the color of tea or cola is when I'm about to have a kidney stone attack. If you lower abs are aching, that could be the problem. Good to increase the clear fluids either way.

It could be the combination of all the supplements and the ab/cardio workout. Dandelion root is a natural diuretic, you could be depleting nutrients too fast (e.g. iron, potassium), I'd reduce or stop everything until it clears up. Too much too fast can back fire, your system is just reacting (return to hemeostasis) to the new extreme.

Seeing a doc is definitely a good idea regardless.

Seen the doc, blood tests were ordered right after results of urine test. Won't know until next Friday what's up. Now that the ab/oblique pain has subsided, I can feel some soreness in kidney area. Dodgy

Will see how things are in the morning. Increased fluid intake and started drinking cranberry juice. Will ease back to keep things safe.

Ouch! That's sounding like a kidney stone. Good luck!

Hi Iaboy, Things seem to be better, thank you for asking.

I had two blood tests that week, the Wednesday test was for my HRT baseline and the Friday test was for the issues mentioned above. Wed-test came back normal across the board but Fri-test came back with some liver levels wayyy above normal (highest was 10x).

Doc ordered ultra-sound for kidney, liver, and bladder. I asked for another blood test since there was such a difference between the two tests. To play it safe, I've only been drinking water or Tazo tea, as well as stopped taking all supplements and NBE herbs (except milk thistle).

Find out if there's anything going on, hopefully by the end of next week. But this little hiccup brought about a few revelations: I found out my doctor was willing to start my HRT right away (opposed to late spring/summer). Even though I had only just started PM, being off for a couple weeks, my energy/mood levels dropped significantly.

I also discovered just how much transition truly means to me. Even if the bridge is out, I'll carry on and find a way to cross the barrier.

Anyway, thank you for asking. I'll post an update when I know more. Take care and smile often!

I think we are all aware that NBE puts some stress on vital organs, especially those who push the envelope with Mega Dose's. Not saying that's the case with you, but you could of had a bacterial infection of some sort and then with NBE herbs.... who knows, right. Glad to hear that "so far so good".

Yes please, keep us a breast... Yes, pun intended.

A couple things to think about...

1. Do you drink alcohol regularly...
2. Have you been tested for viral Hepatitis (A, B and C)...
3. Did you suddenly change your normal diet at the same time you started NBE...
4. Are you drinking enough clear fluids (i.e. drinking enough water that your urine runs clear)?
5. Were you abducted by aliens and and receive implants to monitor your bio-signs (that's a joke girl.. A joke I say....)?

I think considering your liver enzymes and markers were badly off that you may want to ask your doctor to test you for Hepatitis in particular to at least rule that out.. if you drink regularly or heavily.. you may have damaged your liver and kidneys some and the added burden of the NBE supplements gave them a bit more work than they could do.

Viral Hep A and B can be acquired in many ways, Viral hep c usually only from infected blood or fluids transfer... I'd be concerned more about A and B types if you have not had a blood transfusion or were an IV drug user, but it is still a good idea to be tested for hep C anyway just to be safe.

Best friend of mine a few years back contracted Hep A from some food he ate and it messed him up bad for a while, did some wild damage to his liver and made him seriously ill for like three months.

Hi Again,

Got ultra-sounds and blood tests back. Everything is all clear and normal. Think the one test got skewed somehow (probably my fault Blush) but am relieved and happy that my NBE and future HRT won't be compromised.

To answer some earlier questions, I used to drink alcohol on a regular basis but had stopped for 2 weeks prior to starting PM.

No Hep A, B, C.

My diet is pretty much the same, if not better, since starting NBE. Not that my diet is overly amazing...I need to drink more water though.

And there was one night where I lost a few hours, no memory except a bright light. The ultra-sound images show no implants other than an adorable big eyed, three fingered...uhoh... Tongue

I think for the next while, I'll just forego any alcohol. NBE is more important to me. Will be doing the 3 weeks on, 1 week off to keep things easy on my system.

Take care, keep growing and stay smiling Wink
