Oh for the love of sore nipples...

#1

Ok in my case one sore nipple. But it is also the one that has an issue with relaxing... seems it can't. Likes to be up and pointy all the time. Now the area directly behind said nipple is tender and sore. The left nipple.. nothing.

I also seem to have more breast tissue in both my breasts, though the left one seems to have the most compared to the right one. No real change in measurements though (basically I am still at 37" bust though it now measures 37 1/4"), so the form and shape is basically what is changing. The 'fatty' tissue is expanding up and sideways though not much really outwards yet.

Yesterday I increased my dosage of Aldactone from 1 25mg pill a day, to 2 25mg pills a day (morning and evening now). In about 2-3 weeks depending on blood test results I will up that dosage to 3 a day followed by another blood test 2 weeks later and if those results are good... increasing my dosage to 100mg total a day. Basically therapeutic levels of Aldactone for transition.

The Aldactone has obviously started pulling my T levels down and is allowing the BO to start raising the E levels more effectively than it was before. I am at 3000mg of BO a day and wasn't showing any real changes until I started on the Aldactone. Once that started taking effect... the spread of fatty tissue in my breasts began to be noticeable.

I am still having incredible difficulty in finding a therapist who takes my insurance so other than the Aldactone no 'real' HRT meds yet. So I am still using the BO etc to work up the E levels in my body. Seems to be doing it's job now that those nasty chemical factories have some serious medical grade limitation to their production of T.

I spoke too soon I guess. At the time of the writing above my left nipple wasn't sore at all. Now a few hours later and low and behold, the nipple and the area behind it has become slightly tender. I guess my left breast decided to slow drag and showed up a little behind the right one. LOL.

Really embarrassing to have your nipples at Full Staff and chaffing, right?

I don't really get pains, more like a burning or pinch and more behind the nipples. Left and Right breast seem to like to alternate at times.

Sounds like loads of fun! Wink

I am all too familiar with the soreness and alertness. I think it was in the 2nd month my poor nipples would not stay down. Luckily I think that has finally calmed down a bit, but I can't shake the tender and soreness. That part just does not seem to want to go away.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues finding a doctor. Hopefully things turn around for you soon. Smile

My stay a little sore.
In the morning when I wake up more than usual, I rub with the heel of my hand and it brings them down.
When I get in the shower I massage for several minutes.

Through the day when I get sore again a quick rub helps.
Nipples are out all the time, huge improvement from when they were inverted all the time.
I love, love love looking at them and playing with them. Big Grin[/i]

I have a nice large hard knot behind my right nipple. The left nipple is tender but nothing really behind it yet. Still.. I have went to a full 200mg on the Spiro and am taking 4mg of estrogen a day right now with grapefruit juice (increases absorption of estrogen by 34%). My order for Finasteride and Naturogest are being shipped and should be here in a week or so.... and I am finding I have to be REALLY careful about bumping my nipples or they let me know in no uncertain terms they are there and not happy with being bumped.

It also amazes me how many times a day I bump them w/o thinking... apparently I AM a much greater klutz than I thought LOL.

Unfortunately, I have to stay away from Grapefruit because of my heart meds. Some of them intensify while other get diminished in effectiveness.

My Doctor just started me on finasteride for BPH and hair loss. Got to love her.... But then I stumbled on this Anti DHT Blocker Article.

Makes you wonder, eh???

I have been suffering from really sore nipples, too.

I am on a rigorous breast pumping regime, using electric pumps several times daily.

After each pump, my nipples are gorgeous, about 1" long and 1/2" wide. But when I slip my pumped boobs back inside my bra, the cups flatten them and rub them sore (they are already a bit sore after being sucked out!).

I can't go without a brassiere any more, I am just too floppy, my nipples feel heavy and in any case, I am rather "pointy" in just a summer top!

So I am trying nipple shields, which are soft silicone teats. I slip them over my nipples in my bra after pumping and I seem to get no chafe, good shape retention and just a nice little bit of nipple bump when wearing a tee shirt bra.

Tip, when they get like that, put some chap stick on them, keeps them from chafing & getting an additional burning sensation (think bad sunburn) and calms down the overall pain.

Just remember, some of us are dying to get the sore nipples just so we have some sign that are breasts are truly developing.
