Do you have any friends that know and are okay with it? If so, maybe you can go out together with you in full fem and they can bolster you to do it and it'll at least gradually make you more comfortable to do it in public AND get people used to seeing you the way YOU want to be seen!
As for my statement, partially, it was a joke someone interviewing us, once, asked something about the band, I forget what the question was, but, one of my guitarists suddenly answered with, "It's not a band, it's a way of life!"), but, what I meant was that if someone around here in Small Town sees me en femme for Halloween, it's seen as a costume, then I continue to do it afterwards and they think I'm still in costume! As much as I'd LOVE to do it and have the freedom to do it, I don't want it to become a costume!
When playing in the bad, I would always wear a leotard, pantyhose and a mini skirt. Partly it was just because it worked for me to be able to play the way I play. In a minor way, it IS a costume, at least for the stage, but, there's more function than fashion going on, however, I'm also hoping that it'll open peoples' minds to be more accepting of a guy in a skirt and pantyhose in public, as well as more accepting of me in en femme!! It worked both ways at least 99% of time! Problem is, I never got the chance to do it here in my neighborhood!! Well, twice, but not that many people showed up for either of those gigs! So, around here in Yuppieburgh Junior, I'm not at all known for doing that! And, because I already stick out like a sore thumb, and a lot people here know me & My family (we've been here since 1936), it's gonna be pretty hard!

A few people know that I CD and that I am borderline Trans. They are OK with it. If I did not think they would be I would not have opened up to them. Yu have to let some people know or you would go stark raving mad.
My wife knows about my desires, and tolerates them. Some days better than others. We have been called ladies al lot lately. Especially since my hair has grown out and is cut with a distinct femme flair.
When I do the family shopping (alone) I present as feminine as possible wearing women's clothes and incorporate feminine mannerisms as much as possible. For the most part I am taken for a mature chubby woman. And really, that is all I ask for from the public.
Now I just wish I could find a NBE regimen that would completely feminize my body to Rubenesque figure of my dreams.
