My three are almost all out of the house so this option is not something in my future. The article did highlight the following tidbit which I found interesting.
"“I’d bet just about every transgender person who is female will want to do it, if it were covered by insurance,” says Dr. Christine McGinn, a New Hope, Pa., plastic surgeon who performs transgender surgeries on men and women and
is a consultant to the new movie The Danish Girl, about one of the first recipients of sex reassignment surgery."
I read
The Danish Girl about 5 years ago, it was a work of fiction inspired by the case of Einar Wegener and his wife. The book was both touching and sad. It'll be interesting to see how the movie treats this story.

I think trying to make male pregnancies a reality is a bit premature considering science hasn't yet resolved numerous problems with female pregnancies such as infertility, birth defects, miscarriages, and stillborn births to name a few. For the most part, women are already born with the birthing equipment and systems needed to nurture a fetus into a baby. Trying to improve and make use of nature's work I think is monumentally easier than trying to start over at square one. Consider the advancement of travel. People were riding around on horses and camels long before cars and planes came into being.

But I don't want to give birth to a cow!
In all seriousness, if this were possible back when I was in my teens/twenties, I probably would've gone the sex change route.

You'll also need BO to widen your hip bones.
