Yes for the cycling. As for which, I would say whatever works best for you and your circumstances. From comments on here and my own experience, shaking things up makes NBE more effective and gives the body a chance to take a breather. It does seem that the three weeks/one week has the slight edge. Especially if you then switch to something to help clean and soothe the system and rebalance things.

There is a recent post about sourcing Peoney which may give you some ideas. I am in the UK and get mine from a company called Baldwins. Used them for many years and they seem consistent on quality.

As for Reishi, I use a company called Lion Herbs. Quality seems good but hoping to find somewhere cheaper.

Green tea. I actually spoke to a specialist about this and as long as it's genuine Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) it's ok for our purposes.

Funny you should ask about my programme as I am currently having a play with it to try and work out which is doing what. But the simple answer is yes, it is working! Physical changes are now quantifiable. The mental side is rather more difficult to give a simple answer for, but after months of trying different things I think I may have worked out a good combo. It does seem that the mental side of things is where the process gets a lot more personal and what works for one may not work for another. If you would like to chat more, perhaps private message?

Oh, and Dcdee, once I got into a rhythm with WP and Reishi, adding coconut oil was like rocket fuel for me!! ;-)

I started the coconut oil yesterday and cannot wait to see how things will shake up

I am currently only taking BO, but I am thinking of switching to PM

Thoughts

Either way I want to introduce WP and maybe wild yam

Thoughts

I think I will start the 3 on 1 off cycle you suggested. It seems like a way to mimic a born woman's natural cycle

I don't have any experience with BO. I know some here report good things about it and I certainly wouldn't want take away from their experiences, and it amazes me how different we can be with NBE. But I read a few too many health scare stories, and that there does seem to be doubt as to it's effectiveness for some. And with the alternatives being "safer" and even with positive health aspects, and that the majority of users reported their experiences as being positive. So for me the choice was to leave BO on the shelf.

WP works for me and most seem to report well of it.

Wiser heads than I seem to take the view that Wild Yam is best left until you are well into your programme. If you do a word search you will find many comments about it's uses. But to quote:

"Wild yam- Stimulates hormone production, increases progesterone, prolactin, anti-androgen, and slows the metabolism of estrone, one of the body's own estrogens."

Which as I understand it means you really need to be oestrogen dominant before it's effect is going to useful. Ok, know it's never that simple but that's what I take from it.

You may want to consider something to lower DHT, it will help the PM and WP work better.

You just caught me before signing off for the evening!

The general consensus is that WP seems preferable as a tincture taken sublingually. If you want to fine tune it, don't forget to take into account the different absorption times of oral and sublingual.

I do remember reading in a couple of places that PM can be better if taken orally as passing through the liver can make it more effective. Haven't got the link to hand but remember it coming up a few times on Lotus' posts.

I get my PM in powder form and make my own capsules (cheaper) and there is no doubt I am getting an effect. I did wonder as an experiment to try a tincture when my stock runs out but that won't be for some time yet.

I have been pretty happy with my 1500mg per day of PM. I occasionally go up to 2000mg, but only a couple of days out of the month. Since starting PM a little over a year ago, I have gained 1 and a half bra cups and now can wear some 38 D bra's and they are filled.

Don't kill your liver......., Start at about 1000mg and if no growth after 30 days, add 500mg and stay there for 30 days.... That's the safe and sane way of doing it.

I am truly worried for people who are reckless and start at 3000mg or more from the outset.

It's been six days of PM and SP. Everything's going great... except for one unfortunate side effect: nausea. Has anyone else had trouble with it with either of these herbs? I have noticed that nausea is listed as a side effect of the SP, but I'm not sure about the PM? I've heard of people getting indigestion from PM, or pain, but not nausea. Anyway, just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and what can be done about it.
