NBE and Diabetes

#21

The correlation between the commercialisation of the food industry and contamination of our environment, and the growing epidemic of ailments that even a couple of generations ago were almost unheard of is hard to ignore. What is interesting is how so often the one thing that seems to be most vulnerable to these toxins is the endocrine system. Can't help but wonder if this is the real reason for most of the aliments that plague us today?

Interesting that diabetes is on the rise in Japan as well, yet, other than adopting some of our rather horrid western foods (Big Mac, KFC anyone?)
the diet hasn't changed for most, I have been wondering if it has to do with new, or modified strains of rice, which is eaten over there
much more than here...

The students then decided to re-run the exact same tests on the food items we have now. Annoyingly I have lost that info, but do remember the results done on chicken. The chicken we have now has LOST 80% of it's nutritional value compared to the chicken available during the war! Every other food item also showed substantially lower values. Is it any wonder why we are having health issues?

Wouldn't surprise me, I had an acquaintance who raised meat birds, chickens, to sell. They were a special breed engineered to
gain weight and be off to market in extreme time; the birds gained so much weight, so fast, the legs didn't have enough strength
for the poor beggars to stand on, they literally had to be carried. Dodgy

How can that, be nutritious?

Four years ago when things went pop for me I managed to get my slug impersonation down so well I gathered cobwebs! Quite literally, for almost 2 years I hardly moved. So no real surprise that the weight piled on and diabetes came a knocking at my door. Cause and effect a little too clear to ignore.

Yes, I think the process of getting and staying healthy starts and ends with us, we have to be pro-active and make sure to keep the health
demons at bay.

It took just three weeks from a funny cough to gone. Family are blown apart, but just take some comfort that she didn't suffer long. Life can really smack you around the back of the head sometimes can't it?

Thanks, I appreciate the feelings, my mother was a special woman. Put up with a lot over the years. The time from for my mother's death was
almost identical, about three weeks, cough to death; though she had been battling the big 'C' in other forms for the previous 12 years. It was finally the lungs.
Yes, and sometimes it smacks you with a large steal pole, doesn't it. Sad

Very sad about your relative, the special ones really hurt to lose. Sad

Here's to hoping your blood tests show a decent state of being! Smile

I go for my next A1c in January.

Here is a hint, it's NOT the rice. It's the adoption of a crappy western diet.

The Japanese diet has changed drastically. Meat and dairy consumption have skyrocketed, rice consumption has dropped and diabetes has skyrocketed.

If you want to eliminate your diabetes remove all animal products from your diet and eat a whole food plant based no oil diet ala the Starch Solution.

Here is how to deal with type II diabetes while minimizing medications. They key is to minimize fat intake and cease all refined carbs. Whole food carbs are great.

Here is a synopsis of a randomized controlled study of the American Diabetes Assoc (ADA) diet versus a whole food plant based (very low fat about 10%) diet.

Here is the ADA's article in their journal supporting these results.

The amazing thing is the same diet that reverses type II diabetes also reverses coronary artery disease, obesity, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc... View these success stories or read these success stories to hear from folks first hand accounting of how they restored their health.

For the vast majority of folks with type II diabetes (or heart disease) living with the disease is a choice completely in their control.

Watch Forks Over Knifes on Netflix for an excellent overview of the science and how normal folks reversed their disease. It's not rocket science, it's the food.

Don't want to stray too far off the theme of the forum, but I have been looking into the causes of poor health long before I discovered NBE and it is a truly fascinating subject. SCARY! but fascinating. Wendy is right, so much is caused by the corrupted diet foisted upon us and the wilful contamination of our environment. Unfortunately even the "healthy" option is getting nobled nowadays. Still a better option than the junk though.

One interesting little thought. How often have we heard the complaint that food just doesn't have the flavour it used to? Well, it's true. But have you ever wondered exactly what it is that gives food it's flavour? Yup, the trace elements and nutrients! The stuff we actually need but is so often missing nowadays.

It is also hard to ignore how often the contaminants in our food, water, air (and everything else) seems to screw up our endocrine system. The ailments are many and varied and at first look seem unrelated, but soooooo often at the root of it will be something messed up with our endocrine. Which of course is also what we are poking around with when we try NBE. Know I tend to over play the "take care" card a bit on here, but I do have good reasons for doing so.

We will have to compare blood test results. You show me yours and I will show you mine ;-)

Any other type 1 diabetics here? I started with the Natureday pills and liquid. Before the liquid ran out I ordered extracts of the 5 ingredients and mixed them in equal measures. It looks and tastes just like Natureday. Anyhow, it's been nearly 3 months and I have noticed some
changesSmile My blood sugar levels have dropped, which is a good thing. I haven't gained or lost any weight, tho I need to lose some weight. I'm thinking about trying some PM, but need some info from other type 1's that have used PM. Thanks.

Yeah, seems no one with type 1 is around, though I
thought I had read someone else with type 1 frequented
these parts.

Don't give up!
