Well technically speaking even with herbal supplements one should seek counsel from ones Doctor. Ya never know what effects they could have in regards to other medications or with one another. Wink

Oh, I agree... Especially for some of us who believe in 3 - 5 grams of PM and almost as much in some of the other herbs daily. That will REALLY play with your body. The only problem is that ya, it's great to have a more feminine physique, but not when you have blood clot issues, and your blood comes out looking like refined sugar OR you loose your eyesight.

That's why I don't do that, and try to use only USP approved supplements. Especially since the FDA don't regulate it cause the profits are there like in Pharma's.

I have looked at some of the other options. I thought of lowering or eliminating testosterone. But lately my T level is lower anyway. I am naturally feminizing due to illness. My Neurologist says I have issues with my brain not recognizing my goads due to a spinal cord injury. I was thinking about elastration but my gonads are not functioning correctly anyway. He offered Viagra and T. But I said I fear cancer and the other side effects of T. He knows I am a sissy cross dresser and bisexual. I wore my hair long for years and I want to again.

Then there is the mtf conversion and hormones. I declined this choice before. I now know estradol and T both are dangerous due to my illnesses. SO I will choose to be a feminine sissy crosdresser with nonfunctional gonads.Blush

Well, it sounds as though you have made peace with your circumstances. Or maybe just learned to make lemonade from lemons is a simpler way to put it. I to have my doubts as to having a doctor help me feminize with HRT if that is the route I go. Same reason's...... Medical.

35mg may sound a lot, but that will be the total amount of the patch. Did it mention the daily release rate ?
If we divide 35/15 we get 2.33 mg daily. An effective transition amount is between 4 and 6 mg a day. At that amount Spiro and Fin are not required, long time use of those AA`s carry their own health issues.

Estrogen has also changed in the last few years, we only use bio identical hormones now, blood clots ect are mostly a thing of the past.

2.33 mg daily with (say) WP should be an effective starting point.

To put things in perspective, my prescription is 2×100 estrodot patch every 3.5 days.

It is 35mg divided by 7 or 5mg a day. There are 3 patches per month.

I would not suggest the birth control patches because they are not designed for MTF transitions. I think you're fooling yourself if you think herbs have less side effects. I switched to doctor supervised HRT because the last time I did herbs there were noticeable side effects.

I'm no doctor and like you I had to assess my health. The two drugs you would likely be on if you went doctor supervised HRT would be spironolactone (to reduce the affects of T) which is a drug commonly given to treat HBP and bio identical estradiol, which even take orally is prescribed to be taken under the tongue (clotting and liver issues are not seen with bio-identical estradiol).

I also decided that my health had to come first so I decided to loose weight and over 19 months I lost 100lbs. Then I started HRT.

Good luck in whatever you do.

Sorry let me qualify my statement. I have health challanges that wont allow me to use estradol. Herbs are great for me and my Diabetes Caudua Equina and Bipolar.
For me HRT is more dangerous.

You know your condition better than anyone. Just to be clear herbs are untested and the side effects are unknown.

I wish you the best.
