First Question: Do you, or did you have budding pains the same as you did if you used Herbs?
How long did it take for you mentally to adjust to HRT?
How long did it take for you to REALLY notice your body changing?

yes, I would also say more pronounced too.

hmm not really sure on what you mean by the question? There was no mental adjustment, I was just glad to be starting my journey. Maybe it's beceause I am always thinking just another 12 months, and I can be out fully.
How long did it take for you to REALLY notice your body changing?
5 months in and no really noticeable body changes as such.
My shoes are not as tight, I have lost a little muscle mass ( arms look slimmer ), although I have put some weight on over the summer, some people have comented that I look like I am still loosing weight as my face looks slimmer.
From what's see in my transgender group, injections are the way to go, one girl got full C on tablets, and stopped having growing pains at around 12 months. She started injections, and within two weeks was a full D. Now, same as NBE, everybody will react differiently.
I am not sure if this is helpfull for you, feel free to ask almost anything.

Thanks Janet. You have always been helpful to most here. It helps take pressure off of other's. Never can have too many mentors or sister's in pills. LOL.

In the first week of taking spiro and E my need to dress / obsession went away and I felt clear headed. I stopped taking Spiro about 4 months ago and I'm just taking E and so far (9 months in) I am still clear headed.

I haven't noticed much. The chest is filling out, but my face seems to look the same as it always has. Then again I'm not trying to transition so I have a 30 day shadow. I shave about 1 a month. But even clean shaven I don't notice any change.
Best of luck.

I had taken PM for about 3 years before starting hormones and didn't get the "budding pains" again when starting hormones but did have intermittent pains running out from the nipples for a few weeks.
For me now the breast pains at 4 months are intermittent and when there are hardly noticeable.
Emotionally for me it's been good so far.
Body changes for me have come faster than I expected but not so fast that others have commented. Looking back at the naked full body "mugshot style" pictures I took for reference when I started there is a notable difference.

Thanks everyone for the answers. I have been curious for awhile now on the difference between PM and other herbals versus Pharma.
Anyone else has anything?

Cant beat the pharma stuff. Way more effective for most. As far as answering your questions, I cant say that I can remember too much about the very beginning effect og hrt the first time around as it was 16 years ago. However, since I restarted hrt last year, My breast ached alittle. But after doubling my E and adding provera (5 months in) , my breast gained a full cup and I think they are still filling out. Hard to tell right now. Mentally, without the T in my system, almost none, I feel definitely feminine. Cant explain it, but its a different feeling with T dominating your system. Def mentally process things differently as far as I am concerned as well as alot more emotional and weepy at times. For the first five months, small changes accumulated and became noticeable, and after doubling my dosages after five months, things started taking off. My figure, muscle structure, body hair seemed to take on more of a definitive female form as well as breast size increase.

1. Yes exactly the same but the growth was a little faster (it`s slowing now at over 6 months in).
2. the effect was almost instant, but it`s not something you really have to get used to per se, although it doesn`t take too long to forget what it was like to be constantly depressed, anxious, aggressive, fearful etc... they become words only after a while.
3. that`s a hard one to answer really, breast make noticable changes, as does some fat deposits (thighs and a$$ for me mainly, but also a thin layer under your skin that hides quite a few veins). facially Nothing really, at least nothing I couldn`t really put down to regular cleanse, tone, moisturise daily.
I`v heard from several places (and seriously hope it`s true), that Most of the changes happen in the second year anyway.
also I`m on a transition dose too, so I don`t know about low or mental effect maintainance doses?
