Getting super excited T minus 8 days and counting

#1

In 6 days I have my final gender transition counseling session where I will receive my therapist letter to the Endocrine Doctor green lighting me to begin my HRT treatments. My first Endocrine Dr. appointment is set for the 28th. I am so excited I don't know if I should jump for joy, dance or both.. oh heck both! :-) I have stopped all BO and Pituitary Glandular so I have a clean system. The only thing I still take is fenugreek and blessed thistle (gotta build those mammary glands!) and the Swiss Botany PM Serum to help give em a lift.

What was it like for you when you started on true HRT?  not herbals or PM/BO.

What can I expect taking estrogen and t blockers the first day.. first week...? What was it like for you? I'm hoping that with my current estrogen levels up where they are it will just take over. I am going or the patch to help minimize risk for blood clots and to have to take blood thinners.

How soon before you noticed something was going on, body changing?

What changed first for you?

How soon before "others" noticed any changes?

I'm super excited everyone!  Big Grin Big Grin

I actually lost volume for the first few months, typically they start you off low, check your bloodwork, then start to raise your levels.
Once things started to work it was like night and day.

Good luck..

Thanks Jannet! so when you say volume, what specifically are you talking about? Body mass...etc?
I know each person and body are different but can you please explain what you mean by night and day? I would love to hear your experiences?

So today i did something silly..and for first time ever... i was grocery shopping at Walmart and saw a whole body wax kit from Sally Hanson on sale so i bought it. I got home put all the groceries away.. read the directions.. heated the wax. Went in to the bathroom and i waxed my own chest and armpits.. needless to say i will have a pro do it from now on.. no it didnt hurt, i can take a little pain.. but the wax is a hard wax and when it cools its hard and sticky. My hands stuck on to the directions. When i grabbed the wax jar it got stuck in my hands.. my armpits were stuck closed.. i finally got all unstuck and cleaned off.. i said you can do your arms tomorrow.. lol not so sure..but i had a great laugh and i needed that tonight.. night all!

An epilator is the best investment i ever made.

I found once you go hairless, it becomes a phobia. I have grown to hate any stray hair on my body.

I've tried the home waxing route as well, with similar results. I agree with Janet- a good epilator and a good paid of tweezers does wonders.

I invested in the epliator! should arrive in a day or so. Do ya'll use it on your face or is that asking for trouble?

So tomorrow is my final appointment with my therapist where I'll receive my letter saying I can go ahead and start HRT. My appointment with the endocrinologist is Thursday morning. I'm super excited for that appointment! Wish me luck!

Congrats on your hopeful letter!
As for epilating your face..
the jury is out. I tried it a few times and I'd rather pull my finger nails out.
Give it a shot I found the area between your ear and cheek is the least painful, and be prepared for lots of redness.
