"So you partially dissolve them?" No no no! I only did that a few months ago when I was experimenting with the time it took for them to dissolve. I poured water on them at different temperatures to see how they reacted. Softened and dissolved pretty quickly. Just put one in your mouth and you'll see how quick they start falling apart.
I suppose you can also buy yourself a reusable injection device, liquify the PM with a little water, and inject it into your anal cavity. Should be pretty easy, and perhaps even a better option. Just ensure that the little liquid remain in there for a hour or so. In my case I'm pretty loose and relaxed down there and its easy for me to insert 2 capsules with two fingers. Once again, I'm not trying to be gross. Just giving you some new info that I haven't seen on this forum before.

I decided to try this, am on Estrofem 2mg atm but still have left over PM capsules so decided 500mg twice a day can't hurt. Actually it did a bit, have never before tried to shove anything up my bum, well not by myself anyway, but seems I'm not very good at it. Suppose finger nails aren't helping.
But have also done a little reading up and got this.
In addition, drug bioavailability is affected by the site of drug absorption within the rectal cavity. The superior rectal veins go via the liver whereas the inferior rectal veins bypass liver metabolism, thus correct positioning of the dosage form, at the lower rectum, is crucial.
So assuming that means only just inside the bum so may be trying to push them in too deep? My longest finger is 6cm.
I never got any tingling or anything at all so inserted an estrofem 2 hours ago to see what happens. Just feel foggy, queasy, have a headache and bum hurts a bit. But will keep trying with the rest of my left over PM now I know where to position the capsules
Hi Drew, correct. From the outside you can only reach the lower part of the rectum anyway, which is where you wanna be. It made a big difference for me once I started doing it. I can feel the effect of the PM high coming on stronger than before.
I think the key here is that with anal insertion you lose very little of the active ingredient in the capsule as opposed to swallowing it with water. It is said that up to 70% of medication can be lost by taking it orally. Stomach acids are very potent, and this is only the first part of the journey for the capsule, in its journey through the digestive tract.
But remember that I am no doctor. It's just that I'm positive that it works for me. And the more of you that try this method over a longer period of time, and give feedback here, the more we will find out.
I suppose it is because we are very different physically as people and is probably why some of us have to take a larger dosage to make it work. But make no mistake, 1000mg of PM per day is LOT if you can acually get all of into in your bloodstream.
