Applying for new positions and one was Reddit and it was interesting to see a number of questions/options that are not commonly asked even among the typical technology/internet (which tend to be fairly progressive to begin with) related job applications I come across.
Reddit is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to building a workforce representative of the diverse communities we serve. To bring community and belonging to everyone in the world, Reddit’s employees must represent communities and redditors on our platform.
Our vision at Reddit is to have a workforce representative of people with different perspectives and experiences, including but not limited to, gender, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, religion, and political views.
We invite you to self-identify across the identities below so we can better understand our talent pools and assess our effectiveness in attracting and recruiting people to Reddit from all backgrounds.
Answering these questions will not impact your application. For more information, please refer to our statement here.

I answered honestly and I don't doubt they are one of the places that would readily embrace a less common selection of the above options!
I won't say what they were, but I can imagine someone on the other end (HR) would be like: That's different!

I find it comical that “they say” they are open to people of all political persuasions. Reddit is the most rabid far-left leaning platform on the net. The people they cater to also seem to be the most closed-minded I’ve ever encountered.
While I’m active on several groups on Reddit, mainly cigars, film photography and bullion speculation, just venturing into any political forum is asking for an unpleasant encounter if you’re not in lock-step with their narrow-minded views.
I wish you the best of luck through the interview process, and I hope it meets all your expectations.

I read "
bullion speculation" as wondering how good the soup would turn out to be! lol
The myriad of topics on the platform is mind boggling (including r/moobs and r/tittydrop), but politics is likely a mess as it is on virtually every other platform. Thankfully there's way more to life - and cigars, photography and recipes (I mean metals speculation) sounds more interesting (and productive).

This is all true, but as I’ve seen on some of the more tamer subs, Reddit is primarily a website devoted to younger folks.
What I have noticed is the 58 y/o mind and the 20-30 y/o mind are two different things, with vast gulfs of logic and reasoning. Be this related to cigars or photography, or politics, (that I’ve sworn-off), the generations see things from a different light. But as far as bullion goes, I actively watch the precious metals markets, so I’m active in those subs, too.
I hope the best for you, myfriend!

I wouldn't describe it that way. It's rather expansive: https://rhiever.github.io/redditviz/

Haven't heard back from Reddit, but did hear back from a couple of other larger players in the space and have calls lined up with them.
Neither had the detailed sexuality questions (wouldn't expect them to) and neither deals with the political "football" as much as Reddit has to.
I was both surprised how much revenue Reddit makes (for what it is and does), and also surprised how little revenue it generates (compared to other tech/internet companies).
Onward!

I hope this works out for you!
I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable declaring my sexual preferences for a job interview, but that’s just me. I hope whatever you land is a good fit for you and it will meet your financial needs and goals.
Good Luck!

I'm not too worried about that.
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words as hard as cannonballs, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day
