I my experience, you do not need to buy an expensive probe. I can tell you more about my experience in a private message if you want.
I purchased a prostate massager on a website: adameve.com "male-p spot- massager" $19 (US). I first purchased a $90 probe. The more expensive probe had a very small difference in feel.
