Very thought provoking...
My first reaction is to play it safe, dont risk it, but now after reading more especially Lara's comments, I've changed my mind.
Using a topical (with DHEA) on a time limited period is more than likely OK, so much so, that's what I'll start doing for a month.

I think there's likely very low risk when there's control with balance. Then again, I'm no scientist, I don't have access to meticulously testing everything and knowing every possible effect of things I'm using. I put a lot of faith into the science stuff Lotus has put out and what I've found elsewhere and after many months on the topical protocol which very much deals with local estrogens, I'm doing fine and I'm in good health.

Obviously go into everything health first and don't go crazy on anything is the way to deal with it all. People tend to easily overdo everything, then not get results they want and possibly hurting themselves, its always good to be cautious and find out all possible information on everything.

I am experiencing with it (and putting the rest on my crotch). I will keep you updated as to the evolution of my babies...

I am also taking some FG and SP daily. I haven't seen any significant progress so far as I started in May. But I am taking pictures regularly. Maybe I will be surprised one day when I compare them. 

I'm less worried about breast cancer, than blood clots- but it's my understanding that that risk is acceptably low when estrogens are taken as a cream, yes....?  That's the thing that scares me, and scares me clear off even thinking about PM- I'd just soon as skip over upping my herbals game to PM, and potential DVT and poking my liver with a sharp stick and just go straight for the estrogen and prgesterone cream- and DHEA it sounds, also.  I'm plotting my segue into limited trials of those goodies, unless I'm scared off by heath concerns other than cancer.  I absolutely can't put my health at risk for this, much as I'd like to throw caution to the wind.  My ability to keep working is the most important thing, I can't risk that.  At my age, I'm not worried about cancer, if I was to get it, well, then I probably already have it, and nothing I do here's going to change that.

Reality is that blood cloths are always one of the risks connected with HRT. My wife is even scared of them because of her menopause and shift in hormones. Some people report having had blood cloths using PM i na percentage that is higher than pharma HRT probably because HRT is usually taken under medical supervision, so a doctor knows the right dosage and, in case, can prescribe blood thinners if needed. If you are scared about blood cloths, you should ask a doctor to do a blood test on you to verify if you could be at risk of cloths anyway. This could also be useful information in case you travel by airplane.
I have read of many people around here that take aspirin in small doses as it seems that it has a mild thinning effect on blood. I found recently that red wine contains a molecule that acts as blood thinners, so I make sure to alwas assume copious amounts of it  .

Transdermal and injected BIOIDENTICAL estradiol does not elevate blood clotting factors almost at all. Oral estradiol on the other hand does to some extent, but that's likely not an issue either because insane doses aren't usually needed. Topical estrogens elevate local levels mostly so that effect is even more insignificant. Method of admin is a BIG factor on this, so no need to be crazy scared to death about it. Good idea to get bloods done from time to time.

I won't be having direct doctor involvement with a clear statement from me that I'm feminizing- my personal thread has Down Low in the title for a reason and it's certainly not gravity I was thinking of when I chose those words, ha.  

Were I free to, I think the bug has bitten me bad enough I'd be diving in the deep end of the pool, but I'm not. So stealth also dictates the degree to which I'd dip my toes into the water. So a conservative approach.

I'm reassured now that transdermal is relatively safe- that was my impression already but I wanted to make sure I had read right. I think I want that rather than trying to build up a tolerance for high levels of things like PM. 

Now to just get hold of it- generally my mails are unmolested but while I can pass supplements off as this or that, no making up BS about what I'm doing with a bottle of estrogen, in the off chance it's not unnoticed... it's a great frustration that something that's perfectly legal is also not sold in CVS or Walgreens on the counter. But, I have plans. It just takes some cunning on my part. Easy peasy, like shooting a moving target while on a galloping horse....

Where can I buy estrogen creams

I depends on where you are located. From Europe, there are a few online providers who can ship by post. I got some LiveFlo BiEstro cream from a company called iHerb. It was relatively unproblematic for me in Switzerland. However, as I said, it all depends on your country.
