I'm on a sort of E mono-therapy, so hope this helps.

For 2-years I was on progynova (started at 2mg/day increased to 4mg/day) and took Red Reishi (RR) and EGCG (2ea caps/day) and that worked really well. Breasts grew and started to fill out to some extent, and I was really pleased to se my male pattern baldness (MPB) decrease as well.

RR is good, but adding EGCG is known to be the best DHT killer short of pharma.

Note, I've always been on other bits and bobs, vitamins, and did start my topical regime towards the end of the two years, so admittedly not a strict mono-therapy regime.

If you are interested in reducing MPB further, after killing DHT with the RR & EGCG combo, try rosemary oil mixed with a decent oil such as MCT, jojoba, or aloe vera. I've been doing this for a few months now and really pleased with the results. Further reduction in MPB along with thickening of existing and new hair.

From what I can gather the rosemary with oil mix is nearly as effective as minoxidol, but do note, that if a hair follicle is dead, no amount of DHT killer / topical will revive them!

I’d like to know more about low dose estrogen monotherapy

I did a low-dose E monotherapy for about a year. My flaccid penis shrank quite noticeably, although the erect shrinkage was less. My balls became literally peanut-sized. After I got off E (it's been about two years) I got some size back to my penis but maybe only 30% and my balls returned to about 90% of their original size. Just one experience.
