Skin absorbtion, penetration enhancers and NBE massage.

Skin absorbtion, penetration enhancers and possible ingredients for a highly effective NBE massage oil.
To simplify things, the skin is made up of 3 layers. From top to bottom, they are called the Epidermis, the Dermis and the Subcutaneous Tissue. The outermost layer, the epidermis, protects against substances that could penetrate and affect the inner layer, the dermis. The epidermis itself consists of five layers. The uppermost layer, the horny layer or stratum corneum, forms a permeability barrier. It stops substances intended to smooth your skin from penetrating to the layers beneath.
The gaps between the dead skin cells on the surface of the epidermis are filled with a lipid (fat) matrix that has to be penetrated. The gaps in the matrix are only 100 nanometres wide. This limits what can get through skin. Most body skin care products only work topically and never reach the deeper layers of the skin because the molecular structures of the oils and fats are too big to penetrate into the epidermis. They will stay in the stratum corneum. One can compare the effects on one’s skin to "water on a duck’s back." Active substances added to a cream however, are able to penetrate deeper and things like hormones can do this. This has to do with molecule size or the structure of the particle.
Cosmetics companies are using ingredients that include nano-scale metal oxides, carbon spheres and “nanocapsules” designed to penetrate deeper layers of skin. Nanotechnology involves the manipulation of materials and the creation of tiny structures and systems that exist at the scale of atoms and molecules. A nanometer (nm) is one billionth of a meter. By way of comparison, a DNA molecule is roughly 2.5 nm, a red blood cell 7,000 nm and a human hair cell 80,000 nm wide. The existing body of toxicological literature indicates that nanoparticles have a greater risk of toxicity than larger particles.

An essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aromatic compounds from plants. It is produced by distillation. Other extraction processes to obtain aromatic plant compounds include expression, or solvent extraction.
Essential oil is also known as volatile oil and ethereal oil. It may also be referred to as "oil of" the raw plant material from which it was extracted, such as oil of clove. The term essential is intended to indicate that the oil is the fragrant essence of the plant from which it is extracted and not in the more common grammatical sense of being indispensable. essential oils penetrate all seven layers of the skin within minutes.
Because of their concentrated nature, EO's generally should not be applied directly to the skin in their undiluted or "neat" form. Some can cause severe irritation or provoke an allergic reaction. Instead, essential oils should be blended with a vegetable carrier oil (also referred to as a base or "fixed" oil) before being applied.
These concentrated essences have a fine molecular structure that can easily penetrate the outer layers of the skin, carrying vital information to the blood, organs, tissues and emotional centers of the body. The skin's condition greatly affects the degree to which oils are absorbed through it. After a hot bath, the skin is very softened and more penetrable.
Plants and essential oils contain phytohormones which are similar to human hormones and act like chemical messengers. According to author Marcel Lavabre in The Aromatherapy Workbook, essential oils contain vitamins, hormones, antibiotics and/or antiseptics. Aromatherapist Robert Tisserand says that oils such as angelica, coriander, cypress and fennel stimulate estrogen production. In The International Journal of Aromatherapy, pharmacologist Tony Balacs states that essential oil constituents may have hormone-like activity. If their structure is similar enough to the hormone's, they will interact with the same receptor.
Essential oils as novel human skin penetration enhancers (scientific study)see link:
http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=6685961
Essential oils were evaluated as penetration enhancers towards 5-fluorouracil (a cancer drug) using excised human skin. . Eucalyptus oil (Eucalyptus globulus) was found to be very effective, causing a near 30-fold increase in the drug permeability coefficient. Ylang ylang was mildly effective and anise had little activity.
In chemistry, especially biochemistry, a fatty acid is a carboxylic acid often with a long unbranched aliphatic tail (chain), which is either saturated or unsaturated.
Oleic acid (OA) and it’s effect in promoting Estradiol absorption as a fatty acid penetration enhancer. (scientific study)

Essential oils safety:

Essential oils are not to be confused with essential fatty acids. The human body can produce all but two of the fatty acids it needs. These two, linoleic acid (LA) and alpha-linolenic acid (LNA), are widely distributed in plant oils. Since they cannot be made in the body from other substrates and must be supplied in food, they are called essential fatty acids.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids are often known as essential fatty acids as a lack of them can lead to rashes, eczema and dry skin. They act like a vitamin for the skin. Among these are Linoleic and Linolenic acid. They need to be combined with e-vitamin oil to prevent them from going rancid quickly. They are thin liquids that are quickly absorbed by the skin.
Vegetable oils which contain a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids are Sunflower oil, Borage oil (Starflower), Evening Primrose, Grape Seed and Thistle Oil/Safflower Oil (Carthamus tinctorius) which is less expensive and of excellent quality. Borage or Evening Primrose oil not containing at least 0.5% E-vitamin oil will go rancid within 6 months.
Good carrier oils for NBE purposes:
Soybean oil is high in both linoleic and oleic acids. Soy contains a phytoestrogen (phytoestrogen is plant estrogen) in the genestein group of estrogens. One pound of soybean oil contains an average of 6,800,000 milligrams of plant estrogen.
Avocado Oil penetrates the skin more deeply than many other plant oils (e.g. lanolin, olive, almond or soya-bean oils). Therefore it's an ideal base for transdermal treatments, & a natural carrier for added supplements to reach the deepest target areas. A research paper by Valette and Sorbin reported on the skin-penetrating properties of a number of oils. Of the oils tested, which included corn, soybean, almond and olive oils, avocado oil had the highest rate of skin penetration and the ability to transport active substances through the outer epidermis of the skin and into the dermis for increased effectiveness. It stimulates the collagen metabolism, increasing the proportion of soluble collagen in the dermis.
Valette, G. and E. Sobrin, Pharm Acta. Helv. 38910):710-6 (1963)
Emu oil is not a plant oil – It is an animal product. Emu oil is the only easily absorbed natural oil that is molecularly the same as the oil found in human skin and all other organs of the body. It serves as a transdermal carrier (transporter) of other valuable nutrients to the skin and has been shown to have better skin penetration/permeability and better moisturizing properties than any other "cosmetic" oil. Most cosmetic oils are phospho-lipids or "polar" compounds, which mean they carry an electrical charge at one end. Polar compounds do not pass through the skin as readily as non-polar compounds. The lack of phospho-lipids in emu oil, or the oil’s non-polarity, explains why this oil penetrates so well. Emu oil has a high concentration of mono-unsaturated fatty acids which also explains its ability to penetrate easily through the skin. Emu oil is approximately 70% unsaturated fatty acids. The largest component is oleic acid – a mono-unsaturated fatty acid. Emu oil also contains about 20% linoleic (Omega 6) acid and 1-2% linolenic (Omega 3) acid.
Emu Oil is highly penetrating. This ability to penetrate the stratum corneum barrier of the skin, brought about by the high levels of oleic acid. Emu oil could be combined with various medicinals or cosmetic materials to take them beneath this barrier.
Recipe of NBE massage oil:
6 tablespoons of carrier oil: Preferably a mixture of Avocado oil, Soy bean oil and Emu oil.
Add an individually chosen amount of fenugreek powder to the carrier oil and leave for 3 to 5 days in a closed bottle before adding essential oils.
Then add:
10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil since medical studies have found to be a very effective skin penetration enhancer.
10 to 15 drops of fennel essential oil because of it’s estrogenic properties and likeness to mix well with, and help to transport the phytoestrogens from the added fenugreek capsules.
Shake bottle. Use within a week for maximum freshness and potency. Essential oils are volatile and evaporate easily, make sure to keep the top on the bottle.
Do not use more than 25 drops of essential oil with 6 tablespoons of carrier oil to avoid skin irritation.
Use a weekly body scrub (exfoliator) to ensure maximum penetration. And take a warm shower or bath before application of massage oil if possible.

That was extremely informative. I am going to try this, I have to get the ingredients first (actually some cash fist). If you happen to come up with a formula for the "male" organ that would be useful too. Size is not a problem but maintaining while dealing with pain can be. I have used Viagra but get bad headaches from it. I believe what Viagra does is allow the "valves" at the base to close off. This may be way off for this forum but I just wondered if you were aware if anything. Thanks for. (I would think with your obvious knowledge you would be a moderator here.) TB

Thank you for this insightfull post. I seem to have hit a rut these past three weeks with little or no growth. This is about the same time I started using Palmer's Cocoa Butter Breast Firming Massage Cream. I've gotta give this a try and jump start my routine.
I really appreciate the biological explainations for why this formula has some basis of truth and thus a probability for success. Now to find these ingrediants......back to the Health Store for me. THANKS

There is absolutely NO way to put fat inside the breasts from the outside with cream or oil. It must come from the stuff you eat. What this type of high absorbant massage lotion does, is help transport the phytoestrogens you add to it deep enough into your skin that they can get into your system. The phytoestrogens can aid in making more fat cells form inside the breasts.

I think I would be worried about fat running thru your bloodstream. This is the kind of stuff that could kill you and if you could just rub it on your boobs and have it absorbed that way, what would stop it from going into your whole "blood, lymphatic" system. I think that is why the body is resilient to such absorption. Wouldn't the increase of ducting increase that fat that the ducting attracts. I mean, your trying to make breasts bigger, not bulbs of fat. It seems like all the parts go hand in hand, symbiotic in their relationship. Of course like usually I could be totally wrong.
