Newbie Looking for Any/All Advice

I find your post most interesting. Did you take ONLY PM, or did you include other herbs?

Also, did your uneven budding ever even out?

I took only PM with vitamin D and calcium. I didn't bother trying other
herbs.

As for the budding, I'm still waiting for the results on the other
side, but so far there are none. It's been some time now that I'm
off PM, and I observed a tiny shrinkage, but the majority of what
has grown seems to be here to stay.

Calcium eh?

I remember someone saying something about PM needing Calcium to work best, perhaps that is what sped up your results...?

Ainterol recommends taking calcium with PM. On the PM bottle it says 'The efficiency of this product can be enhanced if taken with an enriched-calcium liquid or with calcium tablets.'

OK, so is the suggestion to take PM, SP and Calcium?

If so, how much of each? I have seen 500 X 2 of PM, up to 1350 of SP, and how much calcium? I have also seen the PM ramping up to 500 X 6 (3,000) over several weeks.

I'm not one for taking 35 pills per day, but I also am interested in an effective program.

Any comments? (please!)

I'll try to figure out a dose of calcium.

Just took 1200mg, so we will see how that works.

I take 1,200 mg of calcium daily, one pill in the morning and one in the evening. I think the body can only absorb about 500-600mg of calcium at a time.

I hear you. This is definitely one reason why I'm not taking lots of herbs for NBE. I was taking a lot more pills with the flat2fem program than with my current PM program.

I was born with a Calcium Deficiancy that eventually faded but to play it safe i will be taking 1200 2x a day.

this might explain my light headedness/dizziness....I honestly hadn't thought of that before this.

First, you should realize that there is no single best suggestion.
We can only reveal what did (or didn't) work for us. You'll have
to come up with your own regime.

That said, a bit about calcium... Adults only absorb a small
part of their calcium intake, up to 20%. Some things, such
as whole-grain food and caffeine, can decrease calcium
absorption. Vitamin D, on the other hand, is essential in
increasing intestinal calcium absorption (this is why one
frequently sees it packaged with calcium pills).

Assuming one already has a healthy diet, one should not
go above, I'd say, 300-500mg of calcium a day (NIH
puts the RDA around 1g or so). Why? Because taking
more calcium actually reduces calcium absorption rate.

Calcium taken but not absorped is a waste of both time
and money, so you actually want to go lower than you
planned for so that the body maximizes the absorption
rate.

I'm not sure about SP, but I would not take more than 1g of PM a day,
at least for a period of several months. Feel free to ignore my advice. :-)

What are you basing this advice on? If you read back through this site and the archives, you will notice that most males require somewhere between 1500 mg/D and 3000 mg/D to achieve results. That's 1.5 to 3 g/D. At only 1 g/D I seriously doubt you will any growth at all. If you do, definitely document and let us know about your results.

I've already mentioned in my previous posts that I had rapid growth
and budding with only 1g a day. I don't think I took more than
30-40g combined. (Yes, I am aware of the fact that no one here has had
such rapid growth and that some go to extreme dosages, I think I read
somewhere even 6g a day, which seems insane, to be honest.)

Now, my advice is based on the following:

1. my experience, though very limited, proved that PM really works and is
a powerful herb; although not everyone will get results as fast as I did,
I think that my experience at least puts a lower bound to how fast one
can expect them

2. one should be careful with anything that meddles with one's
metabolism and endocrine system; that holds true especially for
things that create complex, not yet completely understood,
interactions with the body mechanics (you can find many examples
in the drug industry)

3. the manufacturer's recommended dosage is 1g a day, after several
weeks of taking 0.5g a day

4. I haven't seen the issues of addiction and drug tolerance seriously
discussed or researched so I tend to be on the safe side here as well;
what's the point of taking 6g a day if after a year you'll need a
maintainance dose of 6g?
