I would like to note Ainterol's price per pm bottle drops as you buy more in bulk. For example, the 12 bottle shipment costs about $180 (including shipping) when using the 10% discount. The price of each bottle drops to $15 as oppose to the $23 when ordering bottles individually.
Maybe someday I'll switch over to the more economical powder, but in the meantime it's more convenient for me to use capsules.
I can definitely relate to the capsules being much more convenient vs. the bulk powder. However, I am prepared to deal with taking it less conveniently for now, due to the fact that this bulk powder in 10 TIMES cheaper!
I have not tasted it directly yet. I only received it this afternoon and have taken my first dose of 1,000 mg mixed into a few ounces of vanilla almond milk. At that rate, I could not notice any taste from the PM at all. It did seem like the PM was having a tough time dissolving into the milk. Perhaps I should have stirred it longer or used a shaker cup like the one I have for protein powder?
I have taken PM on and off for a couple of years now, but have always bought the 500mg capsules until this time. This huge bottle is probably equivalent to the number of 100 count capsule bottles I have ever purchased in total, so for me it was a great deal.
I have always been interested in the extract, but at the same time, I have had great success, IMO, with the powdered form. I am intrigued with the extract though and may try it once this huge bottle of powder runs out.
The only problem I foresee with taking it in non-capsule form is that it would not be convenient at all for me to take it when I am not at home. My last run on capsules was from about Feb - June 2012, and at my peak (about 6 weeks in the middle of that time) I was taking about 3,000 - 4,000 mg per day(I realize this is quite high). This meant that I was taking 2 capsules each upon waking, around lunch, directly after work, and right before bed. I was spacing it out like that to attempt better absorption, and to avoid the dreaded headaches, which I tend to get if I take more than 1,000mg or so at a time. I know that is a very high dose, but at the time I was experiencing very rapid results. I am doubtful that rate of return would be sustainable in the long term, obviously.
With the bulk powder I would either have to find a way to take a 1,000mg dose with me to work in some sort of small container, or just resort to taking a max of 3,000 mg per day(which is most likely PLENTY!). I will update this thread if and when I come up with any interesting or effective ways to make the bulk powder portable. Obviously, I would also be interested in any of you ladies' take on that idea.
