Karren, as a born and raised Minnesotan, I agree with you about the health benefits of playing a lively game of hockey. Great exercise. Just watch out for those raised pucks!
Your comment triggered some other thoughts as to health benefits of PM.
One of the side effects that my wife noticed about me since starting on my NBE program using PM is that I have taken more interest in my physical body, male presentation, and general state of health than I did previously. If I think about it, she's right, and the effect is rubbing off on her as well. Our going out together to shop for feminine clothes (for me) has renewed her interest in the feminine, as well. I love that!
Another example: I never used to groom my eyebrows. They were getting bushier with each passing year. I brushed off suggestions that I trim them. Now, not only do I trim them, I pluck them slightly into a nicer shape.
That's not all. As I focus more and more on the physical changes to my body under the effects of phyto-estrogens (i.e., breast development), I've also become more interested in my overall body appearance. Getting rid of body hair was the first priority, which has now evolved into an effort to rid my back and stomach of several unsightly skin growths (seborrheic karatosis).
My wife has wanted an elliptical exerciser for years. Well, last week, we bought one, and now both of us are using it to burn off fat, tone muscles, and improve our overall cardio-health.
I don't know how long these practices will go on, but I can honestly say that had it not been for my NBE program, the focus on better "health and beauty" would probably not have happened. So not only has PM improved my mental state (I'm less conflicted, more patient, more sensitive to my wife's feelings), it has brought us closer together and put us on a track to better health. Wow!
BTW, I've encouraged my SO to try PM herself. She's hesitant to do so, because she is a DES daughter. Her doctor warned her against any post menopausal HRT due to higher cancer risk. I told her that I don't think PM would pose the same risk as pharma hormones. Does anyone have any knowledge of the cancer risk to DES women taking PM?
