I was just wondering what some of you might think about what SOME people prefer to call transsexuals. I've seen a porno site or two that seems to think that a transsexual is a guy with tits and presents fem. There's NEVER a person that's had a full sex change. And they call them a "chick with a dick", when they are clearly guys with tits! A "chick with a dick" is someone that was born female, except that she also has what looks like a dick, a hermaphrodite, basically. As far as I know, a transsexual is someone that once WAS one sex, but has now had an operation to become the other sex.

Some would call that middle point starting from the male side pre-op, no-op, or androgyne.

MTA, MTF, or FTM, it is all on a basic level people trying to resolve their GD and GID.

The porn sites tend to be extremely toxic in their language on trans issues.

I think there are allot of transpeople that are forced into a dark place to survive, and thankfully most of the MTF and MTA people here have not been.

I am not sure that it is worth overthinking.

I just don't think it's right to call those people transgender or chicks with dicks, when they really aren't. Like you said, it distorts the reality, almost the same way that one scene in Silence Of The Lambs did.

I would submit that MTA, or pre-op/no-op MTF is still transgender. Once there is GD or GID variance and someone has started to take hormones, get surgeries, make other major or permenant physiological changes to find balance and peace is where I'd say the "line" for trans or not is. As one of the non-binary/androgyne folks here, think outside the binary, don't just invalidate it (us). Some will have the goal of full MTF or MTF with bottom surgeries, some will not.

But ignoring the offensiveness of "chicks with dicks", I agree that it symantically it does seem reversed.

I agree chicks with dicks is insulting. I prefer T-girl or transgender. Transexual means that i do it for a sexual fix. Me I just never really felt male. I've been on HRT for about 6 years. Looked into the surgery. My doctor said I was too old since the operation is 6 hours long, and my diabeties dosen't help. I really enjoy being thought to be female, and more in control than when I was portraying as male.

My friend, Carla, is in her early to mid 60's now and she just had her SRS about 15 years ago! I doubt her age had anything to do with stopping her from getting it.

Transsexual doesnt mean only post op. But I would dispense entirely with the porn sites as a point of reference on transgenderism. Mother exist to sell sexualized imagery to guys who get off on that sort of thing. It's the stuff of fantasy, far from the reality of Ts or TG people.

Yes, I agree, it's just that I'd think that they'd prefer NOT to be known as chicks with dicks and that they'd not like to be lumped into the same box as those who DO want to be seen as chicks with dicks, or don't care if they are. The later "box" tends to refer to a homosexual, I would think. In most of those pornos, they are depicted as girls who can have anal sex (theirs into his) with guys. And the guys WANT to have anal sex performed on them. That's basically homosexuality. It's just that one of the two guys in the porno presents as a female and has tits. Most of the TS's/TG's I've ever met, pre or post-op, just want to be girls! The pre-ops still having a dick have NO intention of putting it inside of ANYONE, but would prefer to have one put inside of them.

I have been trying to find a reasons why I have been finding many of yor posts on this thread triggering, without overreacting.

As someone who is non-binary or kind of in the middle, it keeps sounding a little like you are invalidating and dismissing all less than full MTF, and NB/A. And the justly negative comments about the pornsites toxicity and offensiveness, are being directed also at the people who are in the middle of the gender spectrum.

Also, you are being extremely binary in your words, and making some extreme, potentially hurtful, and probably incorrect statements about people.

I know the OP was about pornsites, and we all agree they are bad. But I keep feeling like you are saying that there is no middle, and if you think you are in the middle you are a fake, that you are just a S****** or T***** at best. Or a deluded pervert at worst.

Please try to be a little less binary in how you say things. Several posts in this thread sound like it is being said that if you are not A, B and C, then you are not trans, or you are just gay (nothing wrong with that, just invalidating and inaccurate labels hurt!), or just a crossdresser.
