So, this seemed the best place to post, overall, sort of. :-P
First, the PM extract FINALLY arrived Friday. So in a sense, we're Off... And crawling.
So, we've been building to this in a sense, because we've been taking Saw Palmetto, 320-MG CO2 refined extract.
2 tablets, twice a day, for both of us.
Findings are that SP has:
- Helped The Woman (PE) with her hair regrowth - smoother, softer hairs, slower growth, especially facial hair
- "Mellowed" her out a bit - less aggressive and out of control
- calmed her down, less "driven"
BUT
- made me MORE driven
- made me MORE in control of emotions
- lessened the g-d GD - to the point I don't really care to proceed.
- my voice has dropped an octave, I think - getting a deep voice now
She was High in Progesterone, we think, and she's working to confirm. Doctor's appointment soon. I am LOW in T from previous tests though I don't have numbers readily available. Something like 300 ng/dl, maybe? (The number should be right ballpark, measurement I don't know.)
I need assistance in determining how to create and correct a path to a homeostasis, preferably WITHOUT a transition. Given the voice, and the VERY masculine frame (46" chest, even allowing for the flab, it's an issue; the cup size is 49" for a C cup, and I come pretty close to filling it fully, but the musculature is a big part of that - BIG pecs from swimming for years and lifting as well.)
I thought, based on several of our threads here about T and DHT and E ratios, that it might be a high DHT to T ratio; but reading that SP changes Progesterone, which also will change E and T, I'm not sure which way to go. I would appreciate guesses until such time as I get to an Endo and start a real process.
I'd like to find a way to:
- Enhance the T (If I can manage that)
- Modulate the E (I'm guessing my brain wants high E to offset a high T, but guessing)
- Keep her P under control (and we need to consider her hyperthyroid condition as well)
- Control my DHT, as I currently have LOW T, but need to also look to what will happen in the long run: If I raise T, should I allow DHT to rise a bit, too? And if so, how do I keep from losing all my hair and getting BPH, especially if I have to NOT pursue Estrogen therapy?
I think the last thing I want is to look like a female East German Powerlifter, and sound like one, too. (If you can find Nicole Bass online, search for ECW on youTube? She made James Earl Jones sound like a Soprano. Eww. )
I figure I need to get into therapy, get to an Endo, and see if I can get an MRI of my brain to examine the actual structures (TSs are documented to have parts of their brain match the target gender's normally associated sex. Good idea to see if I match a genetic woman's mind.)
Meantime, I am worried about dropping hormones too low, while also meeting the goals above. For now, the SP, PM, and the reishi I'm taking, plus weightlifting, seems to be working in general, but I have a 40% Body Fat problem to adjust along the way. So all advice is appreciated, for both me, and her.
