it is so very easy, to go overboard. to push the limits, then pass the buck. it is the times without retrospection or introspection that we tend to break things and then are left with the pieces of our hearts in our hands.
without restraint, we are nothing, without forethought, we are thoughtless, without care, we care less.
we grieve for that which we loss, only after the fact, rather than maintain a happy happenstance throughout.
too often we use a bulldozer, when a simple screwdriver would have surficed. sometimes we should just remain silent.
Lessons learned, but are they lessons learned too late? One only can be patient and remain still.
too many times, in the transition from catipillar to larvae to butterfly, if you hold the pupae too hard, you may crush the butterfly. trust me, don't squeeze it. Cradle, caress and care for that pupae, so it may emerge and fly, free in the breeze , beautiful as can be, flying in the sun and breeze. only then can you truly appreciate it all, any part you may have had in the butterfly's success. but don't squeeze it because you fear it may leave you. it will regardless, much to your loss. but you have to learn to enjoy it while it is in your hands. And hope, that one day, that butterfly will return to rest back upon that hand, of its own accord.
I fear a long sleepless night ahead, torments of my own demons that awake within. Feasting on fears and regrets like the banquet of the damned.
have a good night, if you can.
