I had a thought, I wondered how many more posters here used to have facial hair.
I personally had a mustache I used to hide behind so I could "man" it up. I hated it, but I felt it was necessary and part of my male costume

I never grew out my facial hair for professional and personal reasons. Once puberty hit and I had to deal with facial hair, I quickly became envious of how females typically don't have to contend with facial hair.

I have always had facial hair. Whether it was a goate, or full beard. The full beard was mostly due to laziness.
So my face is rather sensitive so I can't shave on a daily basis. So that was part of it, the other thing was I wanted to look older. Till about my early 30's I would get carded and just found it annoying. I figured the facial hair would help me look a bit older and not be mistaken for a kid.
Now with no facial hair people comment how much younger I look. From early 20's - early 30's. I personally don't think so, but hey, what do I know.
Oh yeah I used to shave everything off maybe once a year. :p So this has been the longest I have ever gone without facial hair since I've started having facial hair. I definitely look a lot different. Sadly, my brother made the lovely comment that now I look like our dad.

Now I look in the mirror and that's what I see. Well honestly I kinda saw it before but chose to ignore it. :p

We were camping over the weekend, I never took my shaver or epilator with me. So the last time anything touch my face was Friday morning. Once we got home in Sunday, I was surprised on how little growth I had showing ... I think I'm starting to beat this down now.

I have to tell that I really dislike my facial hair. Currently it is one of the top 3 things that causes me the most of the dysphoric feelings.
Even if I weren't trans I would not be able to grow beard or moustache, because my facial hair is really sparse. I would look like Hunnic raider or worse like someone with dirt on the face.
So for me, facial hair is unwanted, useless and uncomfortable.

You have a great shaped face. With very little makeup, you could go fem easily.

Thank you
I kinda want to wait until I'm done with electrolysis to really start experimenting with make up though, since I don't want to mess with my skin and I can't shave every day.
I learned some basic stuff doing theatre, but I didn't really get super good at it. I have the whole twitchy eye thing when I try to put eyeliner on, and I can never seem to get both eyes to look the same.
But yeah, I am starting to like my face more, besides my massive nose (which is admittedly excellent for breathing through) and caveman brow (which stops sweat from getting in my eyes and shades them from the sun).
My eyes don't feel as beady and close together anymore and my chin is feeling a bit less Lord Farquad, which is nice
