I've seen plenty of photos of transgender people experiencing the budding process aka tanner stage 2, but I haven't seen many examples of that on this forum.

Is it the same for, say, 40+ year old men as for younger people, either genetic females or 20-something transfemmes going through the process with HRT?

Does it always entail golf ball sized nipples that are tender and perhaps difficult to hide?

I'd love to hear any and all experiences and see photos if you have them.

Budding itself is practically invisible. You will grow pea-sized nodules under you nipples, your nipples will hurt like hell just by looking at them, and in a couple of weeks those nodules will spread inside your chest, particularly under your areolas. They are not big in size, so it's really hard to see them from the outside.
