I notice on the user menu there is an option to change user name, if I do can anyone tell me what happens to existing posts, do they keep the original name or are they updated to reflect the new name?

I ask because there are a couple of replies (to past posts) that refer to my current name, a change of name might make them look a bit odd.

I feel it's time for a name change to reflect the changes in who I am.

It will update your user name on old posts also.  If the old name is in the text of a message, it will still show the old name.

I was hoping it would be treated like a new user; I guess this means the old name could be re-used by someone else.
