HRT Update

#71

Hello folks,

Update, today is 25 days since I started back on HRT Oestrogel pump at 2 pumps per day, I was going to start Reishi but decided not to until I got my blood test's done.

Here are my bllod tet's taken on 8 April and reported 11 April, as you can see my T is very low and my O is climbing, so good news, I am not sure if i should start Reishi again might start Reishi again (1 x 700mg).

After 30 days on Oestrogel I will up the dose to 3 pumps a day and see how I get on.

Please look at chart, the range is UK measures so not sure how it is for you good people overseas.

Hello all.

For ages I have always wondered why I cannot apply HRT to my scrotum, on here there are mixed views which I respect because everyone will have different opinions, again why not.

I used Google AI to see what the definitve answer was and these are the results.

Copied and pasted from AI

Yes, scrotal application of transdermal estradiol (like Estrogel) can be used by MTF individuals to improve estradiol levels.

It can be particularly useful for achieving higher estradiol levels or lowering testosterone, or when other skin areas are not suitable. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the best application method and dosage for individual needs.

Elaboration: Benefits of scrotal application:

Higher estradiol levels: Applying estrogen directly to the scrotum can lead to better absorption and potentially higher estradiol levels in the blood compared to applying it to other skin areas.
Lower testosterone suppression:

The increased estradiol levels can be more effective at suppressing testosterone production, which is a key goal of MTF hormone therapy.

Lower doses: In some cases, scrotal application may allow for the use of lower doses of estrogen while achieving the same or higher estradiol levels, potentially reducing costs.

So there you have it, I will apply a dose to my scrotum.
Love to all

I think the key point about scrotal application that although you get a rapid absorption/initial peak of E, you then get a quicker decline. Whereas other transdermal areas like your thighs looses out on that initial peak but has a much slower and steady absorption rate.

I started to rotate between scrotum, thighs and bums to avoid overloading the one area, I think the Oestrogel instructions talks about overloading skin areas so advice rotating between thighs, shoulders etc.

It's one of those, horse for courses, what each of us finds best suits us.
