PM Agent

#1

Hello,

I have been in touch with a well known supplier with a view to selling their products here in the UK.

As a pensioner I am trying to earn some money to boost my pension, as this is a trial run I have ordered 5 tubs which will arrive on Friday 31 Jan, they are Ainterol Pueraria Mirifica XX Annis 500mg 100 capsules per tub.

The first batch will be available from Fiday 31 Jan and will cost £15.00 per tub including postage, if anyone is interested please send me PM

Thanks
Ian

I might be interested.

However I think the only way I'd do it is if done "properly", rather than DMs and posting items for individual members. A website, purchase portal (Stripe or something like it), shipping tracking, invoicing, order history / portal, contact agent in case someone needs to enquire about their order. Royal Mail to mail boxes / InPost / Click&Collect etc would be nice too, in case you don't want it arriving home where (extended) family might snoop.

All that is a lot for one person to take on, but can be done (Stripe for card payments, can build cheap websites, InjoiceNinja for invoice and order tracking, etc).  And a lot of that could be handled by eBay. Which is a trusted platform and you get a lot of the payment / postage / conflict resolution stuff sorted out for you automatically.

My concern is that 5 tubs is not much, even for a trial run. That's not a typo?

Due to bad weather condition the product has finally arrived, but due to mixed responses via email and personal messages I will only sell this batch and then walk away.

I was just trying to help members here in the UK, my aim was to get a good deal from a proven supplier of quality PM products at the same time help boost my pension.

Using methods like what prosatenipple suggested is far too complicated for me, at my age also is risky with customs and other legal issues.

Other things I have sold in the past to members I always provide tracking details via Royal mail, so if you find this to easy and you want to complicate thigs well count me out.

I will photograph the 5 tubs and list with price which is cheaper than buying direct from supplier, then that will be the end of it

Not sure why you are giving up so easily with this!!

Surely you can setup an Ebay business seller page? Not done this myself but I don't think I'd allow this to be a roadblock to me creating a business that obviously has a need. And if you have a direct comms with Ainterol already on this it feels like you've already done the hard part of business negotiation and gotten a business deal.

"is risky with customs and other legal issues." what do you mean? Is it illegal? It can't be given the number of people on ebay selling PM, including some larger brand names (but none of those have THE EDGE that you have, which is Ainterol import into the UK - that's a very powerful capability).

I know it's very easy to misunderstand someone on the Internet - it's far too easily done, and everyone ends up doing it. (and sorry if I ended up doing the same actually)

However the bit I made bold makes me think you are taking my post as a personal criticism and now you are backing out of this business deal due to emotional feelings rather than thinking like an opportunistic businessperson. Seen this happen in real life with people getting upset and then winding up thinking that they can't do it - just because they were not thinking clearly because they were upset.

My post was supposed to inspire the idea in you that you could do all these things and make it into something that would do much more than a slight boost to your pension.

I'd urge you to re-read my post with a different set of lenses, and take it as things that could boost and improve your idea and get you somewhere you'd never have dreamt going.

And in the end, if you still really don't want to do it, it's ok. I just think we would both feel much worse if someone else swoops in and steals your business idea and becomes something that you end up regretting not doing. Crying

Hi Ian,
My two penneths worth, is I think you've got the making a great little pension supporting business there.

Get them on Ebay and or Gumtree and I reckon they'll sell. Ebay is real easy, I've old lots of bits and bobs on there and never had any issues.

Just start small and work on it, expand the stock/range as and when you feel it is right.

Go for it Smile
