2 questions regarding dosage and HRT

#1

Hey all, 2 questions

I posted a thread a few days ago on the transgender page about how I tried BO last week and am now realizing that I am likely trans. I have been looking into making an appointment and plan on doing so next week but was curious if I should expect anything different from actual HRT. I got hit like a truck within one day with both emotional and mental clarity, which only grew over the next couple of days after taking bovine ovary. Is estradiol going to give me that same mental effect right away and are there any benefits in taking BO as opposed to HRT?

I have also been playing around with the dosage a little bit and am feeling like I kind of fucked up. I tried one (swansons) on the first 2 days, moved up to 2 on days 3 and 4, tried doing 3 for a couple days but didn't space it out properly so I felt like shit and went back down to 2 the next day. Yesterday I ended up taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night and felt great all day. Today I took 2 in the morning but I'm starting to think I should slow down so I'm not really sure how to proceed until I get my hands on HRT. I'm worried about setting some kind of hormonal precedent or throwing them off balance. I feel fine now but there was a moment on the day after I first lowered my dose from 3 to 2 where I went back to my old state of mind and it freaked me out. Did I already kind of fuck this up? Any insight or advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi gryc,
BO does not affect everyone the same, it seems there are 3 groups, for one group there is no affect at all, another group say they experience the effects of a long period of time, and the 3rd group state they feel effects basically from day one, which is where I fall, you may fall into the the last category.

As for effed up, IDK. Usually the best way to start is slowly, and gradually increase incrementally after 30 days, it should take 4 to 6 months to get to the optimum dose.

HRT should be medically supervised, some people DIY it, but it's not optimal. I live in the USA so it was pretty easy to get, even though I am not trans, it doesn't make a difference here. As for will you feel anything different? Yes, and no. Lol! Seriously though, in my experience, what took months for me to feel on BO, came within days on HRT, and what took 2 years on BO, HRT put that on the express lane.

I started BO for breast enhancement and feminization, I liked the effects, even the growing pains, while unexpected, were welcome. I just wasn't getting the budding or nipple sensitivity as described by some, the hour glass shape and butt fat were slowly developing. After starting estradiol, within 30 days my nipples developed sensitivity and soarnes, hips are widening, and finally I am developing breast buds, it will be 6 months and I am really happy with the effects. If I just end up on low dose for ever I am ok with that, however I may just run the course through female puberty and switch to a BO UG blend for maintenance. IDK yet, right now I am just enjoying the ride.

Hope that helped a little.

Welcome aboard, gryc936,

I seriously doubt you have mucked any hormone balance up, but like all things in life! Like after a god drinking sesh it can take a day or so to get back to normal, I think your worries will be in your head.

Supervised HRT is by far your best choice, but that doesn't stop you from laying some foundations if you wanted to, of which in my opinion BO is a great foundation stone.

Tomi's reply is spot on, if you do decide to do BO with or without HRT, do as Tomi has said, start slow and all I'd add listen to your body.

@Tomi - never thought about there being three groups, but now thinking about it I reckon there is, so I'd fall in the middle camp.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
