Prescription hormones

Just wondered if any of you have taken any prescription meds for hormones? Eg Spironolactone / Flutamide etc to reduce testosterone? Did it cause breast growth alone? Did it give any unwanted side effects? Did it reduce body hair?
Sorry if there's already info on here about this - wasn't sure what to put into the seach engine

No I haven't yet,but eventually I might. Flutimide and spiro.AKA aldacon are not hormones, they are known as anti androgens. Spiro/aldacon is actually a high blood pressure med.
Flutimide and/or spiro. are usually prescribed in conjunction with Estrogen for M2Fs. For a genetic female either one of those can be prescribed alone. Both of those are known to reduce body hair, but keep in mind that they might not eliminate all of it. Facial hair is one that they won't eliminate.the only way to get rid of it in M2Fs is laser or electrolisis. They may cause it to grow back much finer though. In genetic females it might stop it from growing back. hope the info. was useful.

I've heard that Spir. will really kill your libido,so watch out for that.

I'll probably be going there before this year is over.
My days are numbered and I don't have the luxury of taking the slow boat.
I need to fast track my transition.
There's only two possible cures for what I have.
One is by scalpel, the other is bullet.

I think I have high androgens and that it may stop nbe working, and that in itself is fair enough. Going on the pill has fixed my skin, pms, mid-cycle pain and improved my joints but a few months ago a few fine hairs on my chest started to darken and I'm not standing for it! I understand that once a follicel turns into a blokey terminal hair it won't turn back so you can only stop it getting worse. Was just wondering if anyone had any particular horror stories about anti androgens. I'd like to avoid spiro as I use Brava and it's a diuretic so may mess up the swelling.
Have any of you found nettle to be effective? (I'm worried SP will make me fat / give cellulite)

Spironplactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic normally used to treat congestive heart failure or high blood pressure. It has also been used to treat other conditions: 1- anti-androgen, it has also been used to treat severe cases of acne. Spiro. can raise your potassium levels, It's wise to watch your diet and foods, that are that have a hidh potassium content.eg: bananas and many others.

Hows it goin?....I just started with S.Nettles as a strong tea....I cant say what its done for me yet....Did you see what I wrote about S.Nettles being very close chemically to Marshmallow...AT LEAST,they contain the same chem's,but in different amounts,Im sure.
I was just reading a bit about S.N.....A index said it was ued as a tea for applying to the scalp,for stimulating hair follicles..hmmmmmm..that seems odd at first blush....but ,it probably means it is limiting DHT or something....
and it said its used for BPH,prostate disorder...
so,yes it definitely reduces DHT and possibly has some other effect on androgens.

but..I know how you feel.....I get like that also...I get so run down and frustrated that I just dont think that I can face going on anymore if I cant be instantly like i want to look in the future.....I have this problem with dealing with people,Its like I dont want to go do anything unless I can look more and more feminine....you know?----Davilee

No, the problem is more complex than I care to go into here.
There's something that has come up in my life that is a BIG problem for me.
I don't have the luxury of time on my side. I need to get on with this and get it done.
I can't live this way anymore.
As soon as I can come up with the money I'm going to go on the synthetics.
Once I've reached my goal I'll maintain my hormone levels with herbals.
That should be pretty easy once the plumbing has been overhauled.

If SRS is a problem to get right now, have you considered getting an Orchie? I heard that the need for an anti androgen has been eliminated and you can cut your E intake by about half.
I also can see the need to speed things up for what ever the reason might be.I understand that the moans are much less effective once you reach 50 and beyond.
Just be careful, there's always a better solution other than the Bullet.:-)

The basics of it is, I'm teetering on the razor's edge. I have *everything* at stake.
I'm likely to lose it all before long, likely putting me homeless and on the streets, unable to work/exist.
I don't want to be on the streets as a disabled, homeless "IT".
I just need to get this done and over with and behind me. After that, I can cope with whatever.
Each day takes me deeper and deeper into this journey and further and further away from the rapidly vanishing point of no return.

I've seen propecia (finasteride) for sale on the net, it's quite expensive and not quite sure if I dare try it without medical supervision but it's there if anyone wants it
