Father of five naturally turning into a woman

A man with high levels of the female hormone oestrogen is naturally turning into a woman, but doctors say the process is irreversible.
Terry Wright, 60, started losing his hair and beard ten years ago.
Since then, the father of five has developed smooth skin, hot flushes and breasts.
Mr Wright, a pub singer from Birmingham, gets harassed by local children who call him the "She-Man".
"I get mocked by kids where I live who call me She-Man and other names. Once a child bumped into me and its mother said, 'Say sorry to the lady.'
"My mates are shocked at my appearance but try to make light of it by saying I'm just a pretty-looking man," he said.
Mr Wright, who has to wear a wig, has a slim build and is 5ft 4in height, making him appear even more feminine.
Blood tests have revealed that Mr Wright has abnormally high levels of the female hormone oestrogen. But doctors who have examined him say they have never seen such a case – and do not know what to do to reverse the process.
Some testicular cancers can produce high levels of oestrogen and drugs that used to treat prostate cancer can have similar effects. However, doctors say this in not true in this case.
An MRI scan has ruled out the oestrogen surge being caused by a tumour and a psychiatrist has judged him mentally sound.
His GP wrongly suspected he was trying to change gender and offered him a sex swap which he refused.
"I am a man, not a woman. And I do not want to be a woman. I just want to get my life back to normal," he said.
Professor Richard Ross, a hormones specialist and the head of Endocrinology at The University of Sheffield said: "This case seems very unusual."
Mr Wright added: "Doctors call me an 'interesting case' and 'unique' but I just want to go back to being a proper man."

BS...
Beards don't fall out or go away with hormones. If they did there would be no need for electrologists or laser treatments. I know first hand, I'm TS. My testosterone levels are lower than those of a normal healthy biological woman and my estrogen levels are higher than a normal healthy biological pregnant woman and my facial hair hasn't slowed down nor has any fallen out. I've spent a lot of time and money and gone through a lot of pain to get rid of it. I'm under a doctors supervision for HRT and I take prescription testosterone blockers and I self inject 40mg of Delestrogen in my butt cheek every friday.
This story is sensationalist CRAP.... Males don't just turn into women. If his facial hair is going away it's because he's been helping it go away. The only other way possible is that he has some rare variation of alopecia. If he has high estrogen / low testosterone levels that can make body hair thin out and very possibly go away almost entirely.
But irregardless of what's behind the hair loss and hormone levels, he is NOT "naturally turning into a woman".
No one can do that. He is probably beginning to RESEMBLE a woman in some ways.
Unless his wee-wee magically turns itself inside out (impossible) and he sprouts tits (entirely possible) he isn't "naturally turning into a woman."
Stupid crap like that story is the sort of crap you see on those rags at the grocery store check out stand and with headlines like batboy, Elvis lives with aliens and photoshopped pictures of "satan" imposed on volcano dust clouds.

Yes, I'd have to agree with Dee. Why would it say that medical authorities don't know what to do and that it is irreversible? Doctors help people with hormone problems all the time. Giving testosterone or androgen blockers, whatever the case may be. And why would his hair fall out and he have to wear a wig if he was turning into a woman? Balding is often a sign of excess testosterone and more prevelant in males than females. Makes no sense to me. But, an amusing read if you are really bored....

I seem to remember reading somewhere (probably on this forum ages ago) that the body converts excessive testerone into estrogen. Which would explain the hair loss and feminization.
