Hello BO by Ian

Started with pains in my scrotum, had this pain for a couple years though I had pulled something, had test's they found nothing but it was getting worse, I also had pains in my lower stomach above my penis so had more tests only to discover that I now have Varicocele which basically blocked veins.

Being a greedy person (only joking) both sides are faulty, I have grade 3 on the left and grade 2 on the right, I went for further tests including a full 100% blood anlysis and other scans.

My bloods came back abnormal, I had to declare what I was taking, the consultant said the stuff I am taking has given me Gyno and I am screwing up my endo system which could be fatal.

Yesterday I had a full spectrum Hormone blood test done to find out what is going on, they are not happy but it is my choice, not sure what to do.

Thanks for asking Lara

Thanks for sharing. I know everybody is different. So a few may have side affects. Your Dr has no experience in BO. I’m guessing. He don’t know. I would just cut back to 2 a day. Or until your supply is out. GL

Hi Ian,

Sorry to hear about your pains, not good.

Not sure about what the doc has said to you as I've been on BO for over 2-years and I get full bloods done every quarter and never have they noticed anything odd or abnormal that could be related to BO.

OK. everyone is diffrent but seriously doubt the BO is causing abnormal bloods. When my bloods are wrong it's always traceable to something - infection, diet issues, etc...

Your hormones will have most likely swapped from being male to female levels, so on the presumption they are within normal female levels there is virtually no risk, so again I don't see where they are coming from.

Did they say what levels were abnormal?

Hi Folks,

When I told consultant what I was doing he got uptight, mumbled about the safety of unregulated meds and herbs, so after careful though I am going to continue, as you all have said, my bloods would be out of sync so what.

This what I am going to do, 2 BO and 5 RR for a month then up to 3 and see what happens, life is too short to be miserable.

So I am still taking and will keep you updated with progress, which is my next bit of news.

Past 24 hours I have a dull ache around my nipples so we are getting somewhere.

Hi Ian,

They said the same to me, but only when I voluntarily said it to them. It was only then that they did a hormone panel and saw my T had swapped for E. Allother FBC, etc bloods have been near perfect for about 3-years.

I hope they are treating you for the abnormalities found.

Just take care and listen to your body.

Hello all,

Firstly this not me preaching so do not shoot the teller.

My case was escalated to QMC Nottingham, it was a telephone consultation with an endocrinolgist, very calm and polite and did not preach.

Never asked my why I was taking BO but asked me to listen to what I was taking would do to a man of my age and disposition, especialaly being type 2 diabetic.

BO will lead to complications with my endo system it, could eventually kill me, it is designed for women only, that said it is not regulated and would be prescribed by NHS to any patient be it male or female (UK health system)

To continue to take a non prescribed drug or mixture could eventually mess up my hormones, he went on to say that like other herbs or substances the labels alway say seek medical consultation before use, it is their get out of jail card should anything go wrong.

The complications are not good, if you are taking it with prescribed medication as I am, it will (his words) screw up my liver, kidneys and other vital organs within the body also reduce the effectiveness of that prescribed drug.

The next bit was a stunner. It WILL lead to various forms of cancer and some cancers are incurable because by the time they are detected it is too late.

Some of the symptoms I have had, are warning signs of my body saying STOP, to ignore those signs is rather silly.

We have both agreed that I stop taking BO because at my age I am asking for trouble.

OK no more BO, I do not want to put my health at risk just for a pair of boobs.

I am not saying to others stop, hell who am I to tell others, all I am doing is informing you of the risks and what I have been told

Stay safe

Had a couple of private emails, thanks.

I posted what has been said to me and what has happend to me.

Please do not let me scare you, it is your own choice to go down the BO route, do not me put you off, as Lotus once said, what works for some does not work for others, even Lara said if it is causing me issues than stop

All I am saying do your own research, the internet will tell you everything you need to know, then make your own decision.

Good luck and be safe.

Can I ask what made your provider specify your liver as at risk of damage from the BO? Was there something in the blood work that indicated a problem in the liver or was that more of a blanket statement he was making regarding "unregulated" supplements?

Hi,

Yes it was a combination of many things, underline health issues also my age, I said in my post, dont shoot the teller, I am only saying what I was told, why go to see a doctor if you dont want to listen and believe what they say and advise you.

I said in my post, BO is for women only, google - can a man take ovarian glandular supplements, also side effects of such products.

Well at my age and having suffered some of the side effects then its a no for me.

A couple of my issues were related to Ulcers and H Pylori, it looks as though BO attacked my stomach and could have caused liver issues. I aslo said it can and has reacted to some of my prescribed meds

This forum is for members to share their knowledge and experiences that may or may not help others that is how we learn and I have learnt a lot from many on here.

In the post I also said I am not preaching but if you dig deeper and google side effects it tells you. I also said make your own mind up .

Firstly, a message to Wee2er, thanks for all your support behind the scenes, very much appreciated.

I am about to get back onboard after some scares, I went to see a private endo, cost me a fortune, what she said, I was rushing and basically I overdosed, this was due to taking prescribed meds for my medical conditions. So she said that I need to really go slow and had I thought about seeing a gender specialist, I said no because I only want boobs, we left it at that.

Has anyone used Estriol or progesterone creams from Biovea, if they have how did you get on with them.

Thanks
Ian
