A defined answer, anyone?

Sarah, for an anti-androgen, I use Siterone. I break a 50mg tablet, and take a half tab every 2-3 days, usually at bedtime. I probably don't need it, but I still have enough left to take me thru our current PM supply. When it's gone, it's gone. It's more a case of "waste not, want not". SP disagreed with my stomach, and seemed to decrease my ambition. Maybe the ambition loss was a sign that it was working, as it could be a symptom of low T, but the nearly nauseous feeling it gave me overruled any other usefulness. And, I only took 2/day. While the dosage of Siterone is quite low, when combined with my already extremely low T, it keeps the DHT low enough to let PM do it's job unmolested. I'll see what happens later when I go to only PM and no antis, but that's little ways off yet. Patti

Very nice.

But as for the siterone, I don't think they even sell it in the states. I could order spiro but ....if SP gives me trouble, I'm not sure I'll fare any better with prescription meds.

And Abi, I would try the Doctor's Best brand, but it isn't just asthma, SP also hurts my stomach. It's an almost nauseous feeling, I can taste the SP itself coming back up and it gags me. Not sure that part of it is the brand at all.

And silica gel???WTF, the ingredients lists only olive oil, gelatin, glycerin and SP. Not that that proves anything.

Isn't silica gel the stuff that comes in packets with pills to suck up moisture? The packets that say danger do not eat? Argh....

Sarah. Yes, I don't know how hard Siterone would be to get here. Didn't even check. I got all my "supplies" from the UK. Lots of overseas places sell without prescriptions, but this one was far and away the lowest cost, with outstanding service. Every competing European or asian business was always double the cost. I'm not a tightwad, but not a high-roller either. Also, I have basically the same problems as you with SP, but Siterone never once was a problem, even back when I took a whole 50mg tab daily. (Remember, I'm not recommending it, though). Patti

PM me a link to this cheap site if they ship to the US and you have the time. I could give it a shot and see, I've tried more dangerous things in my life I'm sure lol

If not do you have any experience with Spyro? I would welcome the loss of male function, so that's not an issue. Seems icky to me now, like it's not even mine. It's gross like pornography. Maybe this should be in the brain rewiring thread.

Sorry to derail your thread, I'll fuck off now.

Sarah, no need to fuck off. Yes I tried Spiro, for a very short time. Can't say if it was effective, as I wasn't having any testing done at the time. I quit it because of the fact that I didn't especially like some of the listed possible side effects, (and seeing some rather ugly cases where people had unexpected complications). Although, those complications resulted from not observing the rules for taking it. When I found something better, cheaper, and much, much safer, I tossed it.

Will send you a PM with the website. Patti

Siterone is just the UK branding for Cypro. In the US it's generally sold as Androcur.

AFAIK it IS available in the US... Just have to be looking for the right names.
