Our Society has indeed created a Generation of "Deluded Narcissists", as for what I would blame for it it is not any one thing but bits and pieces of a multitude of things (Far to much and to wide spread to Ever list).

I wouldn't dismiss anything because it happens to be on Fox. In fact, I envy the USA for having an alternative channel to watch. In the UK. ALL channels have a "liberal" bias. But, people, any bias is bad! Realistically, we are not going to get rid of bias. In which case, it is important to be able to watch channels of opposing bias, in order to be able to weigh alternative opinion. If all your channels are biased to the left, you have nothing but propaganda, as in the UK, where even the party historically associated with the right, the Conservative party, is now adopting policies which are nearly all left of centre.

FWIW, what the guy in the link has to say chimes with me. With my black hat on, I can certainly see social networking as the first steps on the road to dystopia. Sad

After looking back on Patti's original post, how did politics became the focus of this thread? Huh

Squirrels are cute! And my wife would love to have a fox for a pet, a four-legged one, and especially an Arctic fox. But I told her that I'm drawing a very heavy non-dotted line against even considering moving to Alaska.

I was about to mention that we were beginning to tread a very fine line by introducing politics. But, we did keep names out of it, and that's where true passions get stoked. The fact that mere mention of a "news" broadcaster immediately brought politics to the fore, well, guess that says a lot about said broadcaster. Anyway, it has been entertaining, to say the least, and we can all probably use some of that. No regrets.

Before I could jump in, though, I got distracted by a couple of my wifes' Korean soap operas, (no, not Dennis "the zero" Rodman"). They make some good ones based in historical events way back in the 1100s-1300s, a bit dramatized, to be sure, but interesting. Hey, when you're retired, you try all sorts of things!

Maybe a continous "random thoughts" thread isn't such a bad idea?? Be a good place to get more connested? Or disconnected?? Ta ta, Patti

I'm not familiar with Korean soap operas, but that does sound interesting to me.

The difference between the political parties (at least in the UK) is purely cosmetic, and I suspect the same can be said for all Western democracies.

Your suspicion is absolutely correct. Corporate lobbyists write the laws, and politicians of either major party serve as the pitchmen, then later the scapegoats. The policies don't change whether democrats or republicans are in power, they are just marketed to different portions of the polarized populace. They don't even debate most proposed laws in congress anymore, most are just rubber stamped now. It's a sad state of affairs.

When you label big business as "too big to fail", this is bound to happen. Whatever happened to antitrust laws? It's amazing that the connotation of monopoly has been twisted from something that was illegal into the driving force behind the world economy. Too big to fail? More like to big to be legal in a supposedly free market economic system.

But yeah, I knew you'd agree with my post lol. I could rant for a few more paragraphs, but this thread probably isn't the place.

Allow me one small afterthought though. When government owns business, its called fascism, a word that send chills up everyone's spines. When business owns government, its called World Trade. Despite being even worse for the citizens, it sounds so nice most people don't give it a second thought.

Euphemistic bullshit shouldn't work this well.

I guess it's kind of resurrecting an old thread, but I don't expect it will go very far. Since the post I'm replying to was in this thread, I'll just drop it here.

Sfem, I can pretty well confirm that temperature has something to do with growth, though it may be more of a "symptom" than a cause. Since going down to 500mg/day the last couple weeks, not only is the firmness gone, but the temperature difference between boobs and everywhere has evened out. No more "sweats", either. Sooo, for me at least, temperature variance will be an easy indicator of when growth is really happening.

I found the same thing more or less PattiJT. When my nips are hot, things are happening. I'm not sure if keeping them warm will encourage growth though. The warmth seems to be generated inside because I can't see any other reason for the specificity of location of the warmth. Like you say, I think it is simply an indicator of action in the interior.
